With just a 15-minute drive to West Jefferson, a 30-minute drive to Boone or a 25-minute drive to Wilkesboro, you can enjoy shops, restaurants, breweries and festivals. From tubing /kayaking on the New River to enjoying the fall foliage to cutting down the family Christmas tree to skiing, there is something to do year-round.

We had stayed here before but this time we had friends that we travel with. The place is the same clean, neat and of coarse a great view. We had great weather for sitting on the deck solving the world‘s problems, and eating. There’s hiking nearby on Parkway or West Jefferson is about fifteen minutes away but we chose to sit on the deck relax and gain weight eating.. just book a stay you will be glad you did..

Wonderful place to stay. A great location for easy travel to North Wilksboro or West Jefferson. The property has a lot of history associated with it and wonderful views from the back deck.

We had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, cozy, and offered stunning mountain views. The host was incredibly nice and accommodating, even allowing us a later check-out time which made our departure so much less stressful. Highly recommend staying here!
