The Space:
Welcome to Tombstone Hideaway, a one-of-a-kind handcrafted log lodge tucked among the pines of Prescott. Built using traditional Scandinavian full-scribe log construction, this impressive 4,300+ sq. ft. retreat combines rustic mountain character with plenty of space and amenities for families and groups.
Vaulted ceilings, massive logs, natural wood finishes and antler chandeliers create a true lodge atmosphere, while large windows and outdoor spaces showcase the surrounding forest and beautiful views of Thumb Butte.
Living Area:
The open-concept main living area features soaring vaulted ceilings, comfortable leather seating, a fireplace and plenty of room to gather. A Smart TV allows guests to log into their preferred streaming services, and Wi-Fi is provided.
Board games, puzzles, cards and a shuffleboard table offer plenty of entertainment when you're relaxing at the lodge.
Kitchen & Dining:
The spacious kitchen is designed for preparing meals for a crowd and features knotty hickory cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a JennAir gas range with griddle, double ovens, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
Cookware, dishes, utensils, BBQ tools and basic spices and oils are provided. Enjoy casual meals in the eat-in kitchen or gather together in the formal dining area.
Primary Bedroom:
Located on the main floor, the spacious primary suite features a king bed, private ensuite bathroom, closet space and beautiful views toward Thumb Butte.
Second Bedroom:
Located upstairs and furnished with a king bed.
Third Bedroom:
Located upstairs with a king bed and access to a private deck.
Fourth Bedroom:
Located downstairs and furnished with two custom-made log twin beds.
Additional Sleeping Space:
A pull-out sofa is available in the downstairs living area for additional sleeping accommodations.
Theater Room:
Movie night is even better in the dedicated theater room featuring eight reclining seats. It's the perfect spot to settle in after a day of hiking, exploring Prescott or simply enjoying the mountains.
Bathrooms:
The home features three full bathrooms. The primary suite includes a private ensuite, the upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combination, and the downstairs bathroom features a walk-in shower.

An electric sauna located upstairs provides the perfect place to unwind during your mountain getaway.

This cabin was excellent! We loved the great views, the quietness of the area, the rooms were very comfortable and theater room was wonderful for the kids. The only thing that needs work on is the outdoor area by the fire pit. The outdoor bench is broken, the green chairs were also broken and the steps leading down to the fire pit from one of the rooms were broken. We had to place a plant pot on the steps so no one would use the steps or else they would fall through. Overall we would love to come back and stay again.

Amazing views and location. The cabin was very unique and relaxing. The internet wasn’t great I couldn’t get any texts to go through to the property manager until we got off the mountain. Some of the appliances were outdated and didn’t work well or at all (the oven). Fortunately we were able to cook biscuits in the grill lol. Otherwise all was great!

Beautiful and well-appointed house. I rented it for two out-of-town sons and their families for a Thanksgiving visit. Everything was perfect and comfortable. Gorgeous views, generously equipped kitchen, large bedrooms, comfortable beds, clean, everything worked . . . . . my kids loved this stay.

We visit Prescott often and have our regular cabins, but for this trip we had some friends and needed something bigger, so we landed on this cabin.
The cabin is very nice, tons of space, nice amenities, wonderful location; our families had a blast. The cabin was clean on the inside, but it needs some attention.
We plan on staying here again, so this is not intended to be a negative review, but to point out some areas needing improvement.
- There was all sorts of trash outside when we checked in; beer cans,. broken snow sleds, and for some reason burnt coals on the front porch. It didn't bother me all that much, but I am very respectful of the owners of all the cabins I stay in and was more concerned with being blamed for something I did not do. And it was a little off-putting as a first impression. The housekeepers need to check the outside as well.
- The master bedroom had blinds over the sliding glass door that didn't work and were missing slats. That was a bummer.
- The master bedroom bathroom door that leads to the main hallway as well as the bedroom door did not close all the way, so that was uncomfortable when you have other guests in the house. We did contact the owner / manager who answered the phone, but naturally there wasn't much he could do in the moment. We had to prop our luggage up against it to keep it closed.
- When we opened the cabinet under the sink, the door fell off and I had to try and fix it.
- We couldn't get the lights in the dining room to turn on, which was a bummer as we wanted to all eat and play games in there. There were other lights, but it wasn't ideal. I sent a message to the owner / manager through VRBO and never got a response.
- The WiFi was terrible, kept losing connection and many times couldn't connect at all. I understand we're in a remote area, but other cabins we stay in don't have this problem. Maybe try another service.
- The bedroom door downstairs with the two twin beds did the same thing as upstairs, would not close.
This cabin is not cheap, for three nights I spent 1.5 times what I pay for my mortgage, I just think a little TLC would make this a 5 star stay. I would stay here again.
