About this house rental
Make yourself at home in this wonderful 3-bedroom farmhouse retreat. With 2 queen beds and 1 twin bed, guests can enjoy a tranquil stay surrounded by nature while still being just 10 minutes from downtown Mt Airy, 5 minutes from Round Peak Vineyard, and a short drive to hiking and many other attractions. This welcoming property offers central heating and AC, TV in the living room as well as in 2 bedrooms, WiFi, plus washing machine and dryer (downstairs) for convenience. The decor is like something out of a time capsule. My grandmother built this house in 1974 and we’ve only ever used it for occasional weekend visits and holiday gatherings. The house has a full kitchen, 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms (one located downstairs), and in addition to modern amenities we have an old console record player as well as a grand piano. For those interested in Bottomly Trucking events, the house is 5 minutes from their business. Take a step back in time and come see us!

One of Surry County's best kept secrets. This home is a piece of history. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, you'll find yourself breathing a sigh of relief as you follow the shaded driveway to a beautiful place of rest and relaxation. There's plenty of space for children to play, inside and out, while adults socialize nearby.We couldn't have picked a better home between homes. Thank you, Mr. Snow, for sharing this place with others.

This home is so comfortable! There is a strong sense of family togetherness and love in the homey touches we found here and we indeed felt right at home. We appreciate the hospitality, thoughtfulness, and kindness of the host. The space is just right—even 2 living rooms, and a gorgeous grand piano! The surrounding outdoor space is private, and beautiful with nature’s treasures. We enjoyed sitting outside and we ate lunch on the patio! The kitchen had everything we needed and made things easy. The location couldn’t be better. We had easy access to the highway so it was great for going on excursions to the nearby attractions and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Farmhouse!

The house was clean for the most part. The curtains in front of the tub were very dusty. The decor was from the 1970’s and fun to reflect and see things we hadn’t in years. The house is missing all smoke detectors. All lamps and ceiling lights really need to be brighter. Bathroom is extremely dark, globe needs cleaned and bulb replaced in bathtub fixture. Towels and wash clothes need upgraded, towels are very thin. Needs some kind of insect control, we killed multiple black ants, stink bugs and spiders. There was frozen food along with a lot of food left in the refrigerator. I don’t think I would rent again.
