About this bed and breakfast
The Carriage House is surrounded by Salamonie State Property & borders the Salamonie Reservoir! The Carriage House shares approx five (5) acres with our residence. This space has loads of "rustic charm" however, the modern amenities will keep you comfortable! Whether you're horseback riding, fishing, boating, hiking, biking on the Wabash County Trail, seeing a show at the Honeywell Center, visiting Historic Downtown Wabash or just to get away, the Carriage House is awaiting your arrival!
The Carriage House is located on the second floor of our converted barn. There is a staircase to get into the Carriage House as well as an additional staircase to access the bedrooms, see photo's. Our barn is home to horses, a mischievous cat named Tiger and the occasional pigeon's that come to visit. Your space however, is just for you! The Carriage House is equipped with WIFI so bring your own devices to access. The spare bedroom has a TV with a DIRECTV receiver. We have a large gravel driveway that provides plenty of parking during your stay.
We also have horse boarding available if your riding the trails (we do not provide horses) contact us for specific details.
Check-in is 3:00 pm or after
Check-out is by 12:00 pm (noon)

This is a beautiful rental was comfortable seating and excellent views out into the pasture. The mature trees as you drive in beside the barn or thick and offer great shading.There are marked parking spaces on a pea gravel parking lot for 3 to 4 cars. It’s a circle drive so if you had a longer vehicle or aren’t the best at backing up, there’s an ample room to do so. It’s on a dead end so there’s no traffic to deal with. outdoor seating with a fire pit allows for rest and relaxation.The inside was nice and cool especially since we had I hate index of 105!!!!!! well stocked kitchen. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who had adventures going on at Salmon Lake or needed a secluded place to stay outside Wabash or Huntington. Meticulous grounds and inside!!

Gorgeous location for solitude in God's creation to unwind and reset. Lovely setting and close to a multitude of outdoor activities or shopping. The Carriage House was impeccable and quite charming. In this age of tear down and build new, it was nice to see that this beautiful barn was renovated for multi-use for 4-legged and 2-legged visitors. Definitely a little slice of heaven and it was a pleasure spending time here. Although it was full on winter, we were able to hike some local trails and were blessed that 2 bald eagles graced us with their presence while walking. We definitely consider this one of our favorite vacation stays. Next time the visit will be longer!
