About this house rental
Pacific Horizons was created for travelers who want the Big Sur feeling: wild coastline, quiet gardens, and a sense of reset, while staying close to Carmel's dining, galleries, and beaches. Set on a half-acre of lush landscaping west of Highway 1, this bright, impeccably kept home is designed with a deep appreciation for nature, light, and thoughtful interiors. Guests feel grounded the moment they step inside.
**The Setting**
A two-minute drive from Point Lobos Nature Preserve, white sand beaches, and the Garrapata State Park hiking trails. The cinematic coastline just outside has been featured in Basic Instinct, HBO's Big Little Lies, and Clint Eastwood's Play Misty for Me. After a day of exploring, return home to soak in the hot tub.

• Cook's kitchen with Wolf oven, top-of-the-line appliances, wine fridge, and a center island with bar stools and ocean views
• Generously sized bedrooms with ocean or nature views from every window
• Primary bedroom with a private balcony overlooking the landscaped garden and ocean beyond
• Three decks for entertaining or relaxing, backyard deck has a BBQ and outdoor dining table
• Washer/dryer and covered garage parking
**Sleeping Arrangements**
• Primary: Cal King
• Second bedroom: two full beds
• Living room: queen sofa bed
**Wildlife and Nature**
Whale watching from the dining room table in winter, plus year-round hummingbirds, butterflies, deer, and excellent birding.

The home is meticulously maintained by our housekeeping team, so every stay begins in spotless, hotel-quality condition.
**Important note:** Only AT&T cellular service is available in Carmel Highlands — no T-Mobile or Verizon coverage. WiFi is available throughout the home.

This was by far our favorite vacation rental ever! We surely hope to return. Ocean views were better than expected. We could even hear the crashing waves.

The hot tub was very clean. The house was very cute! We had access to park our vehicle in the garage! We came down here to get married and the host was very nice and generous in letting us send our flowers here the day we arrived and also letting my mom and myself getting ready here! Thank you Margret!
