The view out of the back of the lake was excellent. The setting was peaceful and remote but still close enough to explore neighboring towns conveniently. The rooms are spacious and well furnished (even if the furniture is a little outdated). The host was decently responsive to questions. The furniture on the patio could use some updating as it was not very comfortable and the wind kept taking the umbrella totally out of its stand. The bathrooms are great, the water pressure and temp was great, the beds were a little too firm (except for the king bed upstairs). The location is ideal for travelling to Shipshewana. There were two issues that I addressed with the hostess at checkout: 1) There was a place on the inside floor where the tile was pulling up and could be a trip hazard. 2) There was a board on the patio that was pulled up and could not only be a trip hazard but could stab someone in their foot or shin.

We had a lovely time! The weather even cooperated when we spent our day in Shipshewana! The house is clean and comfortable. In the April weather the heat kicked on while we were sleeping so we were toasty when we got up in the morning. I strongly suggest anyone considering the property to go for it. In a few weeks it will be patio weather and you can enjoy the lovely lakefront view. We enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed that the dock was so high. We couldn't dock our pontoon to it. Thankfully there was a ladder on the concrete wall that we used heavily. There needs to be more silverware (only had 4 forks) and more than one hand towel and dish rag. Peaceful place!
