We celebrated our upcoming 50th anniversary with our 2 sons and their families! The place was wonderful. It was clean, well stocked with all the kitchen and bathroom stuff you need and the pool was an amazing addition! All 12 of us loved everything about it and every minute we were there! Thank you Roy and Cindy for a fantastic week!

We had a wonderful stay at surfing turtle, it comfortably housed 8 of us on a work group getaway. It was clean and in a very convenient location with easy access to the beach. I was very pleased with the property and would highly recommend it.

We booked The Surfing Turtle for an extended, 3-generation family vacation for 12 people: 6 adults (3 couples) and 6 children. I book a house or condo in a different city every summer for my family, so we have some experience with the process and with different properties. We had an incredible experience.
Everything about The Surfing Turtle is first-rate: it's clean, well-supplied from the kitchen to the beach supplies to the linens. There was a king or queen bed for each couple and a full bed for each kid. It had plenty of living space for our party of 12. The location is great: close to everything, but away from the big tourist area. The beach access is close and relatively lightly used.
Probably the best part of the experience was the communication. The owners are great: easy to deal with, available, nice, but not overbearing. You're renting from people, not property managers or big-time investors.
Bottom line: this is one of the best properties we've ever rented. If we ever return to the Gulf Shores area, we'll definitely stay here again. If this property meets your needs, book it - you won't be disappointed.
