I came to Zanzibar with one simple wish,to experience a beach bonfire under the stars. That search unexpectedly led me to Kae Beach Resort in Michamvi,and it became the greatest gift of my entire 2 weeks journey. The staff is not simply a team,they are a family. Their kindness is something you don't often find anymore, and it is impossible to leave without carrying a piece of them with you.I'll never forget the morning when the entire staff surprised me during breakfast with a birthday cake,singing "Happy Birthday". I was also gifted beautiful flowers and an unforgettable transparent kayak experience over the crystal clear water. That evening, we gathered around a bonfire on the beach, singing, dancing, laughing, and sharing moments that will stay with me forever.
The hotel itself feels like a tropical paradise filled with lush gardens, colorful flowers, palm trees, golden birds, and a spectacular swimming pool surrounded by nature. My room was spacious, bright, and beautifully designed. The enormous windows almost feel as if they open your heart to the beauty outside. Beautiful sunsets, endless stretches of powder soft white sand invite you to take long walks during sunset, while horses wander along the shoreline. The ocean is calm and crystal clear, with no seaweed, no sea urchins and no rocks, just warm turquoise water.
There are no crowds, only the gentle rhythm of island life. Every meal was full of flavor, and the fresh coconut water served in a beautifully decorated coconut with flowers was simply the best.
Pole Pole! Life slows down,your mind becomes quiet, and your heart finally has time to breathe. Words will never be enough to express my gratitude to God for leading me to such an extraordinary place and to such incredible people. This was never just a hotel stay,it became a home.
