Beautifully designed, spacious, peaceful and super comfortable!

We were so blessed to be able to enjoy every feature at Wethero Estate to our great delight. From the hot tub over looking the valley, we saw spectacular sunrises, the wood fired pizza oven supplied us with the best pizza in NC, we had terrific late night talks around the fire pit, ate charcuterie alfresco and no bugs to bug us, a lovely night in the theater watching a show in our own recliners, a hike down the shady drive and back up helped take care of all the extra calories we took in, a rousing game or three of pool on the best pool table we’ve ever had the honor of using in a vacation rental, made some joyful noises on the piano, played pinball, our dogs were fascinated by the playful koi in the pond, and that waterfall was just the perfect sound to sit on the porch swing and listen to as the sun set. The formal dining easily seated all our guests with plenty of space for food and drinks and the sunroom table was perfect for games, puzzles and just sipping wine while the dogs cooled down on the tile floor. The table and bar chairs in the kitchen gave everyone an out of the way place to perch while meals were being made and watch TV in the living room if they desired. All bedrooms upstairs had comfortable beds, two full bathrooms. In the main bedroom’s bath, there was a delightfully huge walk-in shower with three shower heads! Once we figured out how to use it, it was mahhhvelous! Almost every bedroom had enviable views. The wrap around porch and garden areas were large and offered different types of seating and shade so you could take in panoramic views any time of day, and it was completely enclosed so our dogs could freely roam without wandering off. That alone was a five star amenity for us dog parents; we could relax without worrying where they were or having to take frequent potty walks. The potty area is small; so daily clean up was an important but easy task. The kitchen was the pièce de résistance! We fought daily who was going to cook on the Wolf!
With a house this majestic, I was a little disappointed that it was not quite clean on arrival. The floors (mostly on the main level), while free of debris, didn’t appear to have been cleaned, there was a toy left on the couch, and there were numerous splashes of food on most of the kitchen cabinets. It bothered me so much that I cleaned what I could easily see and reach. It is such a remarkable home, so that made me kind of sad to see it that way when it should be the crowning jewel. Maybe the cleaning people were just in a rush; but I hope a home of this caliber is always given the best treatment.

The house had everything you could need. Plus the decking and front patio were all connected and enclosed to allow our dogs to have freedom outside while we enjoyed the hot tub or swings.
Drive way is an adventure, but doable. Basement had a mothball smell to it.

This was amazing! We wanted a place to go and relax and this was perfect. The movie theater building was so fun. We loved watching the sun rise from the hot tub. Plenty of seating options on the wrap around porch. The running sounds from the beautiful koi pond were so peaceful. Wood was provided for and inside or outside fire. The owners were awesome, answered questions really quick. Can’t wait to go back.
The shared driveway was narrow. If someone else were to be coming at us I can’t imagine what would happen.
