We were unsure how it would be due to some previous reviews but we need not have worried. From the very start, it was clear that Rosario, our host, was very welcoming and would be on hand for any issues. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed and we loved having the pool which was only shared with two other apartments in the villa. The location is really quiet, off-road, plenty of parking on the street and not too far to some lovely cafes/beach restaurants (Caffe Arenella and Samoa Club) and not that far to a lovely sandy beach at Spiaggia dell'Arenella (which we could have walked to but decided to drive with the baby and plenty of parking there too - both paid right next to the resort or on the road). The only thing not very close is a supermarket (there is a mini market on the main road) but it's fine if you have a car as there are plenty in the area on the way to/from Siracusa.
I shared my room with my children so we had an extra camp bed in with the twin beds and I have to say it is the most comfortable camp bed I have ever slept on with a proper thick mattress! That combined with air conditioning in both the bedrooms, we all slept really well despite the heat, which made for a relaxing break.

Communication via what´s up and the key collection was really good. We arrived before check- in time but Rosario, who take care of the villa took his time to meet in the morning and give us the keys, so that we could use the house before time.
The house is perfect and my family loved the pool. I love that you can just walk to the beach even if it´s quiet small. Close to the house there is a Bar that prepare pasta and sandwich for lunch and pizza for dinner and they are really nice.
No real supermarket in town, so you need the car if you want to buy food to cook at home. But in walking distance there is a bar and a grocery store where you can buy some staff.

Villa con tre appartamenti indipendenti e piscina comune. All’interno sono presenti solo due posti auto ma si può parcheggiare tranquillamente e senza problemi davanti alla villa. L’appartamento si presenta ben fornito di tutto il necessario (stoviglie, lavatrice, forno, macchinetta per caffé, stendino) e ben curato. Nelle due camere sono presenti i condizionatori. Lo spazio esterno e’ molto piacevole e nella zona piscina sono a disposizione degli ospiti anche ombrelloni e sdraio.
La spiaggia di Arenella e’ a 600mt dall’appartamento, raggiungibile con una comoda passeggiata. A pochi minuti di auto si raggiungono i varchi del Plemmirio. Ci siamo trovati molto bene.
Il wifi funziona poco ma a noi non interessava più di tanto
