Late August family vacation with our 2 daughters and their families, including 6 kids ages 3-10. Property was was great. House had plenty of space for us to spread out, was clean and stocked with all the needed essentials. Beach was great for the kids. They spent lots of time playing in the sand with the sand toys. Lake is very clean and the kids enjoyed swimming. Everyone enjoyed fishing off the dock and taking the pontoon out for early and late fishing - at least one person was fishing all day! Perfect vacation place and would definitely go back again.

This was our third stay on Agate Lake. We enjoy the house and property. The grandchildren love the sandy beach! It is a plus that the rental comes with a pontoon!

The property was great! The house had plenty of room for all 16 of us! Two kitchens weren't needed but the 2 fridges were. All the dishes we could possibly ever need! I have done probably around 20 VRBO's and this was the best stocked one! Lake was amazing. Quiet and the fishing was awesome. The pontoon was used and most of the time the pontoon was the only boat on the water. When we had questions or concerns the mgmt company answered almost immediately.
A couple things to mention that might need attention for future guests is the dock the boards are getting old and some were broken and rotted. Also the bees and hornets. There I think are some hornet nests in the soffets of the house and little cabin that made for a lot of hornets on the property. Many of us got stung. We did call about one large hornets nest in the tree and they sent someone out to take care of that instantly! I was very impressed with the quick responses by the mgmt company with any questions or concerns we had.

...needed to land in Gull Lake for water tubing and fishing walleye. Shooting range noise was a distraction.

We had a lovely stay in this home perfect for our group of 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 5-12) . The beach was amazing, great to have the pontoon since you cant bring your own boat (a cover would be a good addition), and lots of space for everyone. We will be back!

Our family really enjoyed this location. Very private, nice sand beach, house was plenty big, plenty of wood, seating was very comfortable. Couldn't have hoped for much better stay. Only downside is that it is a private lake so there isn't a public boat landing if you bring your own boat.

Lots of bed space, two kitchens, great bonfire area and the beach area was excellent! The beach area and pontoon were the highlights of the trip! Also, it was great there was no stairs or hill to the beach!
The beach was shallow enough the kids were able to be in the water all afternoon!

Our expectations were surpassed. The house was great for our family of 14. It was stocked with everything we needed. Fishing for the kids off the dock was great. There lake was very clean, the beach just perfect. We want to go back next year.

Fun week
Could have been cleaner. Lots of cobwebs, some hair in sinks, etc. The edge of the counter in the upstairs kitchen was loose so we made the kids stay away from it so it didn't come off completely. The beach was nice, and there was lots of toys for the kids. The pontoon was big enough for all of us but the cover was ripped and it didn't fully fit under the "cover." There were plenty of beds for all of us and baby gates which were nice for the stairs. Overall it was fun, but we think it needs a little TLC.

Nice place!
The pictures greatly undersell the home! What a wonderful surprise to find much more space that the listing showed. It fit our group perfectly and we enjoyed the our time here.
The management company reached out before our stay which was a nice touch. Unfortunately the propane tank was not full as promised and scrambled to find another option.
There's a policy of any garbage bags that do not fit in the bin will be accessed an additional charge; the bin was overflowing when we arrived so we disposed of their garbage for fear of a charge.
Overall those were minor issues and we would recommend this place to others.

Great place - a lot bigger then pictures make it look!
The boat that came with the place was awesome, the yard was big enough to play lots of yard games. 3 ovens and 3 refrigerators made it very convenient for our group. The lake was gorgeous and perfect size, thank you to Jeff & Julie for letting us use their home. And a big big thank you to Amy with the rental company for answering all my questions!

Great place for a family get-away
My extended family spent our annual lake weekend together at this property and it was overall very good. The outdoor space was great, flat property with ample space for yard games, a huge beach, and sandy bottom area in the lake perfect for swimming. The included pontoon was a great perk and we used it every day we were there.
The indoor space was large and spacious and there was plenty of area for our large group throughout our time there. Some of the furniture was pretty worn (the kitchen table, some of the living room furniture, lots of the outdoor furniture) but it was mostly all still in working condition. Most things have probably taken some what of a beating due to this being a rental property.
Overall, we had a good experience. The weather was amazing when we were there so we spent most of our time outdoors. Would recommend for a larger group.

2021 family fun
We stayed at the home on Agate Lake on 2020. Smaller quiet lake; perfect for pontoon rides (cartoon rides as our grand daughter called them). We enjoyed fishing and spending time floating on the water. The house is beautiful and is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans for cooking. We will be back!

Great Lakefront Property!
The property was as advertised, maybe even better. My group really enjoyed our stay and there was more than enough space for our group of 12. The two different living areas and kitchens were convenient to have both options. The pontoon ran smoothly with no issues at all. We really enjoyed the plentiful outdoor seating and fire pit! Highly recommend this property for a group lake getaway!

Such a beautiful cabin! Very clean, tidy and everything is furnished. We love the beach, no Seaweed on the shore, but a little further out, there‘s seaweed. The kids love the dock, they were able to jump off the dock, fish at the dock and enjoy the beach all at the same time. In the guest house had a lot of floaters and toys for the beach, that was a plus. Bon fire was so relaxing for everyone, we cooked marshmallows over the bonfire. We definitely love the pontoon, very spacious but also slow, not a speed boat, which is fine with us, we were able to use only once, i think the motor was out. Paddle boat and canoe was also a big plus to us all, we used it since our stay until we checked out. Area is very friendly and super peaceful. We love the fact we were able to see the big kids on the lake still from far away. Sun is so beautiful in the morning. Rooms are very big, it’s nice to have two fridge, enough to put our foods and drinks. Kids enjoyed upstairs by themselves with the ping pong table, watching movies and adults enjoyed downstairs cooking and watching movies. 3 bathroom is great! Everyone was able to use It with no waiting, very spacious and decent size bathroom. Thank you to the staffs for being so kind and was able to answer our questions and thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful cabin to us. We’re very happy to be able to create beautiful memories. Thank you again!

4 families end of summer stay
This was a great place for our group of 4 families to stay. Lots to do in the area with all the lakes, and it was so great to be on a quiet lake where we could paddleboard, canoe, and use the pontoon without having to drive anywhere! The bedroom setup was a little tricky with our four different families and kids, but we made it work. It was a great location to enjoy the end of summer.

Relaxing Family Getaway
We had a wonderful time with our children & grandchildren. The sandy beach was perfect for the little ones. The kids were thrilled at how easy it was to catch sunfish right off the dock. One after another they'd catch a fish & then release it. We cruised the lake several times on the pontoon & even towed the kids on a tube & then relaxed evenings by the fire. There was plenty of inside space although the weather was so perfect that we were outside most of the time. There are 2 kitchens but we really only used the downstairs one for food storage & eating. The fridge upstairs was used for beverages. The guest cabin is not really usable. We just left that alone. Everyone was neat & respectful of the property. Shoes were left outside or on the entrance rug so hopefully the cleaning crew appreciated the condition we left everything in. I started to reorganize a couple cupboards then my kids said to "knock it off, Mom, you're here to relax!" I just did a couple things like put the plastic cups all together so the parents could get at them for the kids. We kept meals simple & did most of our cooking at home to save time & work at the cabin. (I'm a retired Girl Scout Leader who did LOTS of camping trips with my troop! So I know how to pack efficiently and plan for easy/precooked meals!) We did not use the dishwasher at all. We opted for disposable plates & everything else was washed & stored as it was used. The outside trash dumpster was 1/2 full when we arrived so we did have a slight problem with not enough room for all our trash & ended up taking 1 bag home to dispose of. Afterwards we were told we could have left it in the garage, oh well! The only difficulty we had was figuring out the sleeping arrangements. There was plenty of bed space but no single beds for our single children. Turned out some of the older grandkids did not come so we had extra room. Also, in addition to the kitchen, bath & beach towels, we opted to bring hand towels for the bathrooms instead of using the paper towels provided. Having laundry facilities was a nice perk. We had a quiet, relaxing trip & hope to return someday in the future. Thank you!!
