STAY AWAY! Unsafe, Dishonest, and Offensive – We Were Robbed there. Nightmare.

Nothing. Just a nightmare holidays.

This was the worst experience I’ve had in years of traveling, and I feel obliged to warn others. Between 6 and 8 August, while we were out, someone entered our locked villa room and stole money from me and my 7-year-old daughter. There was no safe. I didn’t want to carry all our cash daily, so I hid it carefully in different spots. The thief searched the room methodically and took only part of the money in each currency, hoping it would go unnoticed. But I knew exactly what I had. This villa is fundamentally unsafe: Keys left hanging in door locks by staff – I have photos. Construction ongoing, with a man in a tower watching guests all day. No proper security. Police involvement: On 8 August, I went to the Bali Tourist Police (1h away), wrote a statement (I have a photo). Then I was sent back to the villa to meet an officer, gave full details with ID. Later told to return again to sign papers – wasting another half-day with no effect. I refused. Villa’s response: Instead of helping, they denied everything, said CCTV “showed no one entered” (though it's just their claim - I haven't seen the footage, I don't know if police have. Also the cameras don’t cover all entry points). They went further and publicly accused me of making false claims, painting themselves as the victim and suggesting I invented this. Let me be clear: I was robbed here – that is a fact. My daughter’s wallet was stolen – this alone shows how shameless the thieves were. I involved the police and provided evidence. My reviews are 100% true. For the villa to accuse a guest of lying after they have already been robbed is beyond unacceptable. It is disgraceful, unprofessional, and deeply offensive. Final Warning If you are considering this villa, think carefully. The rooms are not safe, the property is not secure, and if anything happens, the management will not only refuse to help – they will attack you instead of supporting you. Do not make the mistake we did.
