Great place to relax and enjoy Marettimo

The most expensive — and by far the worst stay of our trip We paid €160 for one night – the most expensive accommodation of our trip in Sicily – and it turned out to be the dirtiest and most neglected place we have ever stayed in. The apartment was filthy, smelled bad, and looked completely unmaintained. One of the entrance doors was stuck and couldn’t be opened, while the other couldn’t be locked, so we had to stay with the door open the entire time. The shower barely worked – only a small trickle of water came out, and after a few seconds the entire bathroom was flooded, making it impossible to shower. The furniture was old, stained, and worn out, looking as if it had been picked up from the street. We took many photos showing how dirty the place was — including spider webs inside the house — but unfortunately Booking.com doesn’t allow uploading all of them. We contacted the host, but he refused to offer any compensation, saying there was nothing he could do. This was an extremely unpleasant and disappointing experience — completely unacceptable for the price and for a listing on Booking.com. Not recommended at all.
