If you are looking to get away from the hustle an bustle of daily life head to Eagle's Rest. It's a charming cabin tucked into the mountains and woods between Roanoke/ Salem and New Castle. It is fairly remote and super quiet. I went with a few friends for our annual girls trip. The house was very clean, spacious, comfortable and chock-full of amenities. The owners have thought of everything you might need. There is a great deck and fireplace to spend the evenings sipping a glass of wine and listening to the Whippoorwills. Did I mention it was quiet?! We made day trips to Roanoke, Salem, Blacksburg, Christiansburg and New Castle all within a half hour drive. We would definitely go back!!

Perfect vacation rental property - spotlessly clean, comfortable beds,well equipped with lots of extra special touches. Host was welcoming and responsive .Our family enjoyed a week in this mountain cabin just 5 miles away from AT trailheads to McAfee knob and Dragons tooth.

A perfect getaway to celebrate the holidays! We visited Eagles Rest with my one month shy of 90 year-old mother, and two adult kids. We appreciated the welcoming amenities and meticulously clean and cozy atmosphere! Having two bedrooms on the primary floor was helpful for older guests, and the loft suite was beautifully private! We also enjoyed the location close to Roanoke, and the trailheads connecting to the Appalachian Trail were just minutes drive away! We had a wonderful stay, and it was a perfect five star, pet-friendly, getaway!
