I really enjoyed my stay at Pradnya Homestay in Ungasan. I know the area quite well from when I used to live in Bali, and I would highly recommend renting a scooter. You can reach restaurants and other places on foot, but having a scooter makes getting around much more convenient.
There are only eight rooms in the homestay, and you can park your scooter safely inside. The bed is big and very comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and everything was clean.
There is a small shared kitchen in the middle of the homestay with the basic facilities. I was able to make quick scrambled eggs before going to the gym, so that is a nice option if you want to prepare something simple yourself.
The pool is small, but it is clean and nice for a quick swim. The homestay is near a road that is not particularly busy. You can hear scooters from the rooms, but it was not too bad for me. I always use earplugs when I am in Bali anyway, so it was not an issue.
The owners are also very friendly and welcoming. The whole place feels quite new and well looked after.
I would definitely recommend Pradnya Homestay if you are looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and convenient in Ungasan.

It's a good location and more or less quite central area. The room is okay, the facilities and alliances work.
The whole room is covered with some sort of pebble shaped balls, probably against insects or rodents. I don't know what it is but it smells really hard and not pleasebt at all, the aroma is the same as in the stuff they put into urinals in men's room. It really makes the stay unpleasant unfortunately and it's so easy to fix I assume.
