Dirty. Balkonie was dirty had a cigarette butt on it and the cigarette was put out on cement and was never cleaned. The lamp inside room the shade was broken.

We won’t stay there again. It was not inexpensive to stay there so I hope you are forewarned.

What didn’t we like … not sure where to begin. First let’s start this review by saying the description of a “Luxury resort” could not be further from the truth. The facility from the elevator entry area to our sixth floor room was run down. Clearly photos representing the rooms are “Lipstick on a pig” to lure one booking a getaway in.
When we arrived and went to access our room imagine our surprise to find the door unlocked! That in itself was alarming enough, but then we went inside. Entry to room was okay. Walked to back (ocean view) . You will see from the attached photos that the ocean view was absolutely nothing like the serene view that is on the booking.com website. To the left of the balcony view was a garish pier full of construction vehicles. To the front of the balcony there was a large pipe that was being used for the beach restoration project. Now, in all fairness it needs to be done but there needs to be transparency with the management of the property to make people aware of what is happening. Our communication with them was that they had “just become aware of it”. We found that hard to believe as clearly a lot of planning goes into these projects.
To the right of our balcony was a major construction of a new building going up. Imagine trying to spend quiet time on your ocean view balcony with constant hammering,drilling and sawing going on. A
Let’s now add to these things the nastiness of several things in the unit…going back out to the balcony. Which we find interesting as we received several messages prior to arriving about the lists of do’s and don’t s as they send ‘professional cleaners’ prior to your arrival. Several cigarette butts on the floor of the balcony tells us not much time was taken to ‘professionally clean’ before we arrived. Interestingly enough we do not smoke.
