Welcome to Hyco Lake Hideout! Tucked away in a secluded part of the lake, this peaceful cabin is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Hyco Lake. Spend your days swimming, fishing or kayaking from the private dock, then enjoy sunset views from the wrap around deck or gathered around the fire pit.

This home has everything you need to relax after a fun day outdoors. There is plenty of space to hang out inside and handy amenities to make your stay easy and comfortable. When you want to get out and explore, you will find small towns, local shops, good places to eat and popular spots all just a short drive away!

You have full access to the house. The boat is off limits due to liability. The dock can accommodate your boat or PWC, please contact us before bringing any watercraft.

The Hyco Lake Hideout is located in a private lakefront neighborhood. The roads are gravel and you will feel away from it all, even though Downtown Roxboro with great restaurant options is 15 minutes away. It`s also only 45 minutes from DT Durham and 20 minutes from Virginia International Raceway and approximately 30 minutes to Danville, VA.
Bring your bike (or paddleboard)!

This is a pet friendly property. We do charge a pet fee, which you will see upon booking. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Around the side of the house, you’ll find a second private deck. The private dock and boathouse are down the hill straight in front of the house, accessed by outdoor steps.
Please note the steps down to the dock are a bit uneven and steep.

Enjoyed very much my stay at this lake house, was in town for work and this was much better than staying in a hotel, and more reasonably priced as well. Communication with the host was very good, everything seemed tidy and we enjoyed it.

Beautiful location hindered by poor cleaning and maintenanceWhile this house is cute and sits in a fantastic location, the cleanliness was unacceptable for a paid rental.The Cons: • Kitchen: Greasy stove/microwave, wine glasses and dirty sink that wouldn't drain. • Maintenance: Lower sliding door was nearly impossible to open, no bathroom towel bars in either bathroom and active mouse droppings on the lower level. • Outdoor Space: Spacious dock, but the boathouse was littered with old beer cans and a bag of trash/bait. • Linens: Towels were clean, but one mattress sheet had old blood stains.The Pros:The owners did respond to our complaints by sending Drano and traps, refunding half the cleaning fee, and offering a late checkout. However, the house simply wasn't guest-ready. I highly recommend the owners hire a new cleaning company.
