Not a good experience, read full review!!!!!

Unfortunately there were numerous issues during our stay that significantly affected our experience. The cleanliness could have been much better. There were crumbs, dust and hair underneath the radiator covers and in the downstairs corners, and the edges of the bathroom were also quite dusty. The blocked drain and unpleasant smell coming from it were another issue we had to put up with. One of the biggest inconveniences was the complete lack of storage for clothes. There was nowhere to hang or properly put our clothes, despite there being space for a wardrobe, so we had to live out of our suitcases for the entire stay. Even a basic hotel room provides a wardrobe, so this was very disappointing, especially for a family staying for several days. The bathroom door had no lock, which was particularly inconvenient for a family of seven. The pans had no lids, and the complimentary shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. The washing-up liquid provided was so diluted that it was practically like water and didn’t actually clean the dishes properly. Only two toilet rolls were provided for a family of seven, meaning we had to purchase additional toilet roll ourselves. The return of our security deposit was also extremely disappointing. We were told it would be returned within 48 hours, yet it took more than two weeks, despite us having to constantly chase and follow up regarding it. We were also charged £19 for a towel that we mistakenly brought home with us. Had we simply been asked to post it back, it would have cost us considerably less. Given the circumstances, this felt unnecessarily harsh. The house itself is beautiful and the decor is lovely, but unfortunately the lack of basic facilities, cleanliness, maintenance and attention to detail really let the property down. With better housekeeping, proper storage, basic bathroom facilities and more consideration for guests, this could be a much better experience.
