Good location for my business

Need more towels and pillows

We try to stay at "mom-and-pop" places when we travel, keeping it small and local. The location to downtown and the lake was perfect, we walked almost everywhere. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and very accommodating ... she didn't hesitate to stop chores to make us morning coffee. This room is smmmaaallllll!! Even though the space was just off the main road, it was set back enough that the traffic noise was minimal.

Although everything was clean, some upgrades need to be made in the rooms. The screens were broken on the windows/door, bathroom racks/shelves were old, cheap, rickety. The walls are old-fashioned thin. There was some construction going on with one part of the building, that was good to see. But for our two night visit, we could not stand - nor get used to - the smell of the room. It was like old, old cigarette smoke smell trapped in the room. We opened the windows and turned on the fan which helped a bit, but the smell was in our clothes and we washed them all when we arrived home again, even garments we didn't wear.

The price was ok

The toilet seat was broken. The TV remote did not work. Could not communicate well with staff.
