Stage Well Hotel

Everything was good. Staff, service, location.

If really have to say, maybe it was the housekeeping standard was not consistent, somedays the room was cleaned and tided much more thorough than another day. And the pillows are too soft.

Front desk was warm and friendly. Cleanliness, Hygiene, tidiness was the main thing that hit home for me. We got the 2-room unit with 2 showers with attached toilet. That was probably the best decsion we made as there were 3 of us adult family staying. Shower pressure and heating was amazing, aircon controls were new and good. Mattress was a tad firm for my liking though, slightly softer or spring-ier would be perfect but it is a personal preference. Interior design finish was good and well done and possibly the minimalist design gave althe room a spacious feeling, also it was still pretty new. Location is good for those who want to explore the neighbourhood rather than the Hong Kong island CBD area, that said the harbour was only 2 or 3 MTR stops away or you could take the number 6 bus directly as well, very convenient. Everything including Jordan MTR was only a 5mins walk. I loved the morning walk inside kowloon park eventhough i only stayed for 2 nights. The morning walk and watching old hongkongers doing taichi and excercises was a kind of a small motivation and inspiration as well. The 'popular' f&b around the hotel is worth a try and instagrammable but i think the authenticity could be better elsewhere however it does represent most of HK everyday food and more on the commercial touristy side. Bit pricey but HK is pricey anyways. There was a nice cafe-cum-bookstore just 2 doors away, single origin coffee was pretty good.

The water dispenser wasn't working too well and we were not certain if it actually purified the tap water at all. Not many 'hotel amenities for that price we paid'. We just bought mineral water after one try cause we felt it wasn't too safe to drink city tap water. There was always a smell from cooking in the lobby area. Mattress bit on the firm side. That's all, very minor stuff.

This is a perfect hotel if you would like to be around the local culture of Hong Kong. Surrounded by a wide variety of local restaurants, with the convinience of walking to Jordan MTR station in just 3 mins are the absolute wins. Self-serving laundry within the hotel makes it very convenient as well, especially if you are planning a longer stay in town. Shout out to the front desk staff - Tony, for being very helpful and kind throughout our stay.

Bed was on the firmer side, and very minimal utensils were provided. Only some knifes and forks, a single plate and two mugs. As some others have suggested, an additional bowl or mugs would’ve been handy.

The location was good, as it was easy to get to the subway, West Kowloon station, and Temple Street Night Market. The room was clean and quiet, and served its purpose as giving us a place to rest our heads. The staff were helpful upon our arrival and departure.

The shower was very small, and the room was very basic. The area itself feels slightly more gritty than other areas of Hong Kong, and the choice of restaurants in close proximity isn't as great as in other areas.
