We liked that the location was a 3minute drive to the new venue (Velora), where we attended my brother in laws wedding. The house is quaint, clean & cozy.
The home is on a well. The water ran black & the sulfur smell was strong throughout the home. We asked for an early check in but the response was basically no without a no….just that “they will let us know if it’s possible”. The home had cobwebs (which is ok because that can happen in a few hours) but it was apparent the house was not cleaned that day & had been sitting. The house was also warm when we arrived & it took a while to cool down. We would have gladly paid a little extra to access property earlier but that must not something offered. The lawn was over grown. I reported this to the owner or property manager, we received an apology along with “it will be passed to my team”. 4 days went by and still no lawn care done. It’s a shame because there are great little photo areas (old barn & trees) that we would have loved to have used for some family photos. The grass was higher than the outdoor chairs & most of the grill so that was unable to be utilized. The home is well equipped (even has a record player & albums). With just a few minor issues corrected (the water & lawn are the main complaints) & it will prove to be a hidden gem with close proximity to the new venue. I would like to add that the host was very responsive as far as communication went but just didn’t feel a problem solver. I wish them much success with future bookings.
