About this house rental
Tucked away on scenic Mill Creek near the mouth of the creek, this inviting coastal getaway offers the perfect blend of privacy, comfort, water access, and middle peninsula charm. Just minutes from open water, you’ll enjoy effortless boating access to the Rappahannock River and beyond- ideal for fishing, crabbing, sunset cruises, and day trips on the water. By boat, you’re a short ride from some of the area’s most loved destinations. Relax with the family in this sunny, comfortable cottage. A refundable damage deposit of $500 is required for all reservations booked outside of Airbnb. The deposit will be authorized (held) on the credit card used to make the reservation beginning 2 days prior to check-in. If no damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, or policy violations are identified, the hold will be released 2 days after check-out. Depending on your financial institution, it may take several additional business days for the release of funds to become available in your account.
By completing your reservation, you authorize Bay Property Management to place this temporary hold on the payment card provided. If damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, or other circumstances incurred during your stay, all or a portion of the deposit may be retained to cover those costs, with documentation provided as applicable.
1.Occupancy: Only registered guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property at any time.
2. No parties, events, or large gatherings. These are strictly prohibited.
3. Smoking: No smoking or vaping allowed inside the home.
4. Pets are allowed only with prior approval. Unauthorized pets may result in additional fees. Please pick up waste from your pet outdoors and dispose in a trash receptacle. Failure to pick up after pets could result in additional cleaning fees.
5. Check-in/Checkout: Check-in begins at 4:00pm. Checkout is by 10:00 am unless otherwise approved.
6. Property care: Please treat the home with care. Guests are responsible for damages beyond normal wear and tear.
7. Waterfront access: Guests assume all risk when using docks waterfront areas , and outdoor amenities.
8. Septic system: The home operates on a septic system. Please flush toilet paper only. Do not flush wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or dispose of grease or food down drains.
9. Safety: Do not move fire extinguishers, move or disable smoke alarms/detectors, or carbon monoxide detectors.
10. Trash: Guests are responsible for placing trash in designated bins and leaving the home in reasonable condition.
11. Access and security: Do not share door codes or access instructions with anyone not on the reservation.
12. Furniture: Please do not move or rearrange furniture.
Violation of these house rules may result in additional charges , immediate termination of the reservation without refund, and/or involvement of Airbnb.

Super unique property. I didn’t put much effort in to selecting the home as my criteria was based on location, water access, inexpensive and dog friendly. What I got was a 10/10 across the board. Great value. The definition of cute. The only thing to possibly improve would be making it easier to find the driveway (I arrived in the dark and the driveway doesn’t really stand out).

We had a wonderful stay! The home was cute, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with beautiful waterfront views and a lovely dock to enjoy. It had everything we needed and truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at The Marigold! The property was clean, nicely decorated, and really well stocked. The location is perfect - beautiful water views, lots of outdoor space, and a great little neighborhood to take our dog for walks. My daughter loved the little sandy beach on the property and the loft bedroom. Kelly is a great host and made us feel welcomed!
