I almost don't want to tell you how great it is. The apartment is spacious and spotless, the A/C kept up with record heat, and it was stocked with everything we needed. There's even a view of Six Flags! The building amenities are fabulous, in addition to a working elevator, there is a beautiful pool & spa, rooftop deck, study/conference room, lounge, gym, golf simulator, and free, plentiful parking. The location also cannot be beat, tucked right into the upscale Shops at La Canterra - you're absolutely spoiled for choice of restaurants within a five-minute walk - and just a few minutes' drive from Six Flags, UTSA, and tons more shopping. I also loved be able to do laundry right in the unit, and loved that the hosts live in the building.
Communication leading up to the stay could have been better. I got a sunburn trying to figure out where and how to get in the (very large) building and the parking situation, LOL. But once I had all the pieces, it wasn't complicated at all. I'm sure the hosts will be able to get clearer instructions to guests in future.
The rest are kind of "me problems": I have a bad back and found the beds to be too soft and the living furniture not very comfortable. Also, if you have mobility or balance problems, the shower setup is not great - it's a large, deep soaking tub that doubles as the shower. I honestly felt there should be a grab bar to help step in an out. Finally, some of the bed linens smelled of perfume - actual perfume, not laundry products. I'm allergic and had to wash them to be able to sleep. To be fair, I probably could have requested fresh ones, but it was very late when I realized and I was doing laundry anyway.
