Your Greer adventure begins at this privately located 3-bedroom cabin on two fully fenced acres with easy access all year-round!
The Hen House offers the best of both worlds- Just two miles from town, yet tucked away on Northwoods Road down a long, private driveway with plenty of space to park and play. Here at The Hen House, you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of the pine trees without the hustle and bustle or congestion. The Hen House is located smack dab in a wildlife corridor- So enjoy frequent visits from hummingbirds, turkey, elk, deer, fox, wolves, and bears.
Inside The Hen House, guests will find two king beds, a queen bed, and a cozy bunk bed- perfect for families or groups. The "Master Rooster Suite" is located upstairs with its own bathroom and includes a king bed, smart TV, and entry/exit to a private wraparound deck. Guests can enjoy the private bathroom and antique clawfoot tub after a long day of exploring. Enjoy expansive views of the mountains from the upper loft, located just off of this private master suite.
Head downstairs to the main floor and enjoy the open concept kitchen, dining room, and living room combo- perfect for entertaining. This fully stocked kitchen comes with all of the essentials to cook and enjoy a yummy meal. Pots, pans, cups, plates, foil, slow cooker - You name it, we have it! Guests can enjoy the large, centrally located kitchen island for extra seating. The large metal farmhouse table located in the adjoining dining room is perfect for hosting big gatherings. Inside the dining room, guests will also find a highchair and fully stocked coffee bar with a Ninja coffee maker and Mecity electric tea kettle. Here at The Hen House, we take coffee very seriously. We supply Columbian ground single pot coffee packets for cleanliness and convenience. One packet makes one pot of coffee and you will be supplied with one packet for each day of your stay. Coffee filters are located directly under the coffee maker in our labeled drawer. Non-refrigerated creamer, raw sugar packets, stevia packets, honey sticks, coffee stirrers, hot chocolate packets, glass mugs, and travel mugs are located at our coffee bar for your use. We supply a variety of tea, and these tea packets are located directly under the electric tea kettle in our labeled drawer.
Head into the living room to enjoy the reclining sectional sofa, comfy sofa sleeper, and large smart TV. Inside the living room, guests will find board games, toys, coloring books, and a karaoke machine- perfect for creating fun and silly memories during your mountain escape. A wireless charging pad is also available for all of your smart devices! On this main floor, guests will find two bedrooms located just off of the kitchen, as well as the main floor bathroom.
Bedroom 1, the "Master Rooster," includes a king bed, smart TV, and private entry/exit to the massive wraparound porch. Bedroom 2, "Little Cluckers," includes a queen bed, bunk bed, smart TV, color changing ceiling night light, baby dome, and playpen (stored in closet), and private entry/exit to the massive wraparound porch. Guests will find the main floor bathroom, the "Fluffy Butt Hut," located in between these two bedrooms. This main floor bathroom includes a shower/tub combo for the kiddos and a "Forget Something?" basket stocked with a variety of bathroom essentials you may have forgotten to pack for your stay.
Guests can head downstairs to the "Clucking Den" movie room, which includes a large projector screen, sectional sofa, bean bag chairs, and popcorn machine with essentials. Guests will find a laundry facility attached to this movie room that includes a utility sink, Kenmore washer and dryer, and laundry essentials. Attached to the laundry facility is a small bathroom with a toilet and shower, conveniently located for any bathroom emergencies! From the "Clucking Den," guests can head out to the three-car garage game room to enjoy a game of ping-pong, foosball, or darts. In this game room, guests will also find plastic sleds, inflatable snow tubes, footballs, soccer balls, hula hoops, and dog bowls.
This spacious cabin offers a massive and beautifully decorated wraparound covered porch, with an extended uncovered deck that is affixed with a brand new propane Blackstone griddle. On this covered porch, guests can roast marshmallows over the gas firepit table while enjoying the expansive mountain views and frequent wildlife visitors. Metal roasting sticks are located in the kitchen pantry for your S'mores adventures.
With electric heating, a wood stove, and ceiling fans in every room, the cabin stays comfortable year-round. Guests will enjoy an awesome blend of comfort and convenience in this cabin, with free wi-fi, supplied toiletries, and a thoughtfully stocked kitchen and coffee bar.
With each stay guests will be welcomed with a fresh loaf of sourdough bread made by our local Sourdough Dealers!

Pictures just don't do this beautiful place justice! It's so spacious you feel like you're in your own world! Perfect place for a family or a group trip if you want to go to all the wonderful rivers and lakes near by. Excellent location, easy to find, and just an amazing way to kick back and enjoy the clean mountain air with all the conveniences one could need or not! Absolutely will book again for any future trips. Very clean, stocked with shampoo, lotions, etc if you needed those items. Kid friendly if you have them, the balcony all the way around 2 levels is chef's kiss! Also pet friendly which is amazing for us families with grown kids and only have fur babies! Was an amazing memorable trip to sum it all up! 100 stars if I could.

We absolutely loved this cabin. It was in a perfect location only about five minutes into town and in close proximity to all of the trails and lakes we explored. We absolutely loved how the full 2 acres was fenced and private… Our dogs had the time of their life.

We had a great time at the Hen house! The cabin was very clean and inviting with all of the open space and windows. Loved the coffee bar with good coffee and for the most part the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Especially loved the kitchen windows to watch the deer passing through. The living area was very comfortable to watch a movie or do a puzzle. The wood stove worked wonderfully and kept the area nice and warm. The cabin was stocked with plenty of wood for the wood stove and the outdoor fireplace. The bathrooms were nice and clean and supplied with plush bath and hand towels. The beds were very comfortable, and each bedroom had a door to the wraparound patio. This trip to Greer was mainly for fishing the Greer lakes and did not have time to enjoy the downstairs game room which looked like a lot of fun. We absolutely loved the patios and balconies and spent a lot of time outside when it was nice out. We used the fireplace the last night and it was very enjoyable. Another side note that was important to us was parking space. We had the fishing boat with us and three other cars and there was plenty of parking space for all of us. All and all a good time were had on our annual May fishing trip to Greer. Also wanted to mention that Tannen was a great host and if there is anything you are missing or need just give her a call!
