About this house rental
Our family's mountain home on 14 private acres above Franklin, NC. Panoramic Blue Ridge views, year-round creek, and real peace - 10 mins from town. Live-edge river table, stone fireplace, cathedral ceilings, 3 levels of living space. Oversized fire pit with wood provided. Deer on the lawn most evenings. Easy paved access — no 4x4 needed. Near waterfalls, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smokies, and Nantahala rafting. We keep availability limited as this is our home, not an investment property.
House rules:
(1) Only use gas fireplace when you are in the great room. It uses propane from our tank when running and should not be left running continuously. (2) You can explore the property inside the driveway and down and across the creek. You can also walk down to the property line which is close to the tractor and runs to the tree line down. (3) It is not advised to walk through the forest behind the house as all of western NC has copperhead and rattle snakes and leafy, wooded and rocky areas are where they are most common. (4) Firewood for the firepit is on the lower back porck and there is lighter fluid and a lighter in the laundry room. (5) If we make an exception and permit children, they should be supervised at all times as there are many hazards including the firepit, decks, stairs, creek and neighbors' horses that must be avoided.
