I fear for future tenants of this property - landlord/lady wont take any responsibility
The villa was spacious and comfortable - those are the only positives of the villa.
We were so pleased with the property when we arrived. The first evening the electricity went out twice. We tried to rectify the issue ourselves by speaking to the host but eventually had to get the caretaker to come which took alot of time. We went to sleep at 1am and were reassured it would be seen to the next day. Our clothes were stuck in the machine and it wouldn’t open.
Day 2 - returned from a long day out to cold water, the electricity tripping again a few times. Caretaker came again to give us battery operated lights. The property had no lighting at this point and it was very cold. No heating in the communal living space even though it is advertised as having it. We were not able to use any electrical items - toaster, kettle, washing machine etc as the electricity just kept going. The host does is not immediately contactable and you are only able to speak to the caretaker who actually can’t do anything. We were reassured that an engineer would be out the next day - at this point we only have a 1 day left of our stay.
Day 3 - Engineer comes in the morning - electricity trips while he is in the property we are not able to use anything again while they are trying to rectify the problem. No breakfast again for the 3rd day. We left to go out and came back in the evening and the it appeared the engineer had fixed the issue. We left the next morning.
Unfortunately it was not a functioning property even though it was a beautiful place. The problem should have been resolved immediately however we had to keep going back and forth. The hosts are not helpful, you would expect better customer service. We paid for a stay that simply was not upto the standard you expect to receive and were not offered anything complimentary even though this was initally offered to us. Our cabin/villa was not refreshed at all during out stay and it was only after prompting the caretaker that we needed fresh towels that we were eventually given - that too on day 3. Very disappointing.
