Cast a line for trophy bass or crappie, ride the lake trails or watch the array of herons, ospreys and bald eagles soar above the lake. Chances are high you'll watch a gator or two slyly swim by at sunset. Our home on the majestic shores of Lake Istokpoga is a treat to all who experience it.
As day fades, gather to experience the unmatched sunsets painting the sky in fiery hues from our lakefront, private dock. You may experience the MOST magical sunset of your life! Fully savor the outdoors by grilling and gathering around a crackling campfire. Experience the pureness of silence and darkness under the star-filled skies of old Florida. You're sure in for some unforgettable family time. This sanctuary blends rustic charm with modern comforts, perfect for nature lovers seeking to experience the authentic, mossy magic of Central Florida’s untamed wilderness and snap some jaw dropping pics along the way.
Inside the home, you have a fully stocked kitchen, the coolness of the A/C, high speed internet and smart TVs in every room for the indoor enthusiasts. There's a variety of board games, a ping pong attachment you can add to the dining room table and an Xbox in the guest room. The master bedroom has doors that lead out to a screened in porch where you can gather to play darts and you'll also find the third bathroom with outdoor shower next to the pool.
If you love the experience of camping, but not all the work, this place is for you! Feel free to bring your fur babies! Watching them run free and wild like God intended is one of life's purest joys! It is our privilege and pleasure to share our slice of Old Florida heaven with you and your loved ones.
Please be advised that since this is a rural, wild part of Central Florida, you will likely encounter a variety of and wildlife native to Central Florida. You should not swim or tube in Lake Istokpoga. It’s full of gators. Locals go to the sandbar at the mouth of the Josephine creek on the northwest edge of the lake accessible only by boat. It is a 30 minute boat ride from our place. Lake Istokpoga is a shallow lake. Our dock is on 2 feet of water!! ABSOLUTELY NO JUMPING OR DIVING OFF DOCK!!!
