The best place we have stayed during our travels in Japan!
The property was in a peaceful location, close to the bus stop, and had everything we needed! L
The owner was very helpful and friendly, offered a complementary light breakfast and dropped us off at the bus stop for the beginning of our walk to Tsumago.
We highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again in future!

Host was amazing - picked us up form bus and took our luggage to the property as we arrived early in the day. Prepared a beautiful dinner using local produce for us. Fridge and pantry stocked with drinks and snacks for purchase. Kimonos and slippers as part of the amenities were much appreciated.

I don’t want to exaggerate, but this was probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed!
It all starts with Yuji, the owner — such a kind, humble and genuinely pleasant person. Then there are the wonderfully scented towels, the impeccable cleanliness, and the house itself, beautifully designed with an authentic, aesthetic and incredibly comfortable feel.
Yuji is also a chef, and he offers an amazing, truly authentic dinner at a remarkably modest price. The food is based on game that he hunts himself, which makes the whole experience even more special.
Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. We immediately wished we could stay longer, but the place was already fully booked.
