The Loft at Five Mile Farm







The Loft at Five Mile Farm is a quiet, comfortable get away convieniently

located just minutes from the many activities, events and places of interest

that draw people to the Brazos Valley. Within approximately 30 miles and less

than an hour's drive: Texas A&M University and Kyle Field for football,

graduation, Ring Day, George Bush Library, etc.; Round Top Antiques and Art

Festivals; historic Washington on the Brazos - the birthplace of Texas;

Brenham marketplaces and Blue Bell Ice Cream, along with Lake Somerville water

recreation and fishing are just some of the fun things to check out when you

stay at The Loft.







You will stay in a spacious private upstairs apartment accessed by 17 covered

steps that open onto the large, attached, covered deck. The property is

privately gated but well-signed for ease of access. It is easy to find if you

keep in mind that it is located in Snook: not Somerville.







From The Loft’s deck you will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding Brazos

Valley and revel in some awesome, romantic sunsets. Everything at the Loft is

brand new with some major exceptions. The entire "short wall", bar, and a few

other isolated spots are made out of 150 year old reclaimed White Oak shiplap

that was saved from my family's homestead in Houston. A well water system

supplies water to property. There is a propane BBQ pit under a big oak tree

canopy for guests to use, and two large propane heaters on the deck for those

cold, autumn or winter nights. The 70" TV in the big room of The Loft, and a

smaller TV in the private bedroom that has a queen sized bed are the perfect

place to watch a football game or to catch a movie. The rustic furnishings are

inviting and comfortable. There is a walk-in shower that has two grab bars for

safety. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are supplied in a dispenser on the

shower wall. Two large lighted mirrors and a blow dryer in the bathroom make

getting ready for a special occasion a snap. Bed and bath linens are provided.

The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker, a small

stove with an air fryer, and a diswasher. There is great wifi and cellular

connectivity. The queen sized futon in the main room has bedding available and

sleeps 2. No pets or children under 12 yrs of age are allowed. (Five Mile Farm

is a working farm and there are lots of ways for kiddos and pets to get into

trouble). The Loft at Five Mile Farm sleeps 4.







The owner lives in the attached house and is available 24/7 by cell phone.

Smoking and vaping inside The Loft is forbidden. Access to the property is by

keypad locks that are reset to new codes after each visit. This may be true

for the front gate as well. No loud parties are allowed, but day guests are

always welcome.







The kitchen is very well appointed. It has a microwave, dishes, flatware,

cooking utensils, pots and pans, a toaster, a blender, a hand mixer, a

griddle, and basic cooking and cleaning supplies that are provided. There is a

coffee maker and ground coffee with filters for drip coffee and/or your

favorite K-Cups. A French Press with coarse gound coffee and water kettle are

also provided. Limited, basic supplies like coffee k-cups, tea bags, sugar,

Splenda, and creamers are provided. Enough paper towels and toilet paper are

provided that should last a long weekend, but refills of any initially

supplied items are the renter's responsibility.







The Loft at Five Mile Farm is in a quite, sleepy, rural, farming community,

but it is only 20 minutes from all the hustle and bustle of Bryan/College

Station. The Loft is about 1hr 45mins from Bergstrom Airport in Austin and

George Bush Airport in Houston. If you are looking for a place to "recharge

your batteries" or if you are coming to a Texas A&M Football game or

graduation, The Loft at Five Mile Farm is the perfect place to stay.
