I had a memorable vacation with my family. Our villa was beautifully designed with a small garden and an outdoor hot tub, surrounded by peaceful tropical greenery. What I particularly liked about Lamia was its new concept; the butler lived nearby and helped with check-in and communication via WhatsApp, making everything easy and giving us a real sense of privacy. The villa we stayed in was called Avocado, one of two they had (the other was Mango, which was more upscale and had a better view and larger rooms, according to the owner). However, I really liked our villa because it had two bedrooms connected by a living room and kitchen, making it easy for us to connect with the kids. We were recommended to try the nearby Gáo restaurant (1km away) and had a delicious lunch there. However, I had a wonderful evening using the fully equipped kitchen to cook dinner for the whole family. We took a Grab taxi to buy groceries at a local supermarket in Ninh Binh city. The only thing to note is that the resort doesn't serve breakfast (no restaurant), but I didn't find it inconvenient at all; on the contrary, it was very enjoyable for the whole family to prepare breakfast together in the kitchen. You'll be provided with a large refrigerator and all the necessary food for breakfast, something I rarely see at other places I've stayed. It's quite close to tourist attractions; I visited Trang An by Grab taxi and cycled around the fields and mountains there. Bicycles are provided free of charge. This is probably my favorite place on my trip exploring Vietnam. 10/10 recommendation for families.
