Surrounded by open prairie with sweeping views of the Madison Range, Sphinx Mountain and the Shining Mountains, this is a place to slow down, spread out and enjoy one of the most beautiful corners of southwest Montana.

Minutes from the Madison River

For anglers, it's hard to beat the location. Varney Bridge and public access to the world-famous Madison River are only about five minutes away, putting exceptional fly fishing practically in your backyard. Whether you're planning a dedicated Montana fishing trip or just want to spend a morning on the river, you'll have easy access without a long drive back to the cabin.

Our family has been coming to the Varney Bridge area for generations, long before we had a place of our own here. It's an area we genuinely love, and the cabin makes a comfortable home base for experiencing the Madison Valley the way we have for years.

The Cabin

At approximately 1,700 square feet, the cabin has plenty of room to settle in without losing the relaxed feel of a Montana getaway. The large open living, dining and kitchen area makes it easy for everyone to spend time together, whether you're cooking dinner after a day on the river, planning tomorrow's adventure or simply relaxing and taking in the views.

The cabin has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The spacious master bedroom features a Sleep Number bed and beautiful views of the Madison Range and Sphinx Mountain. A long desk with two chairs faces the mountains, creating a beautiful, scenic workspace for anyone who needs to work remotely while away. The room also includes a printer, two nightstands, ceiling fan, large walk-in closet and private en-suite bathroom.

The master bathroom features a double vanity with two sinks and mirrors, plenty of lighting, a large walk-in shower with a built-in tiled bench, bidet-equipped toilet and privacy window for natural light and additional ventilation.

Bedroom 2 has a full-size bed overlooking the Shining Mountains, thermal blackout blinds, an antique drop-down secretary and bookcase, sitting bench and spacious closet.

Bedroom 3 also features a full-size bed and Shining Mountain views, along with thermal blackout blinds, a large work desk, nightstand and spacious closet. Box fans are available in both secondary bedroom closets.

The second bathroom includes a bathtub and shower combination, vanity, mirror and a bidet-equipped toilet.

Mountain Views & Outdoor Living

One of the best parts of staying here is simply being outside. The cabin sits on five acres of open Montana prairie with expansive views across the Madison Valley and surrounding mountains. Step outside in the morning with a cup of coffee, relax on the deck after fishing, or watch the light change across the mountains in the evening.

Front and back decks provide plenty of room to enjoy the setting, with the large back deck offering a great gathering space for meals and evenings outdoors. A pellet grill and outdoor griddle are available for guest use.

Comfortable for Longer Stays

Reliable high-speed internet and multiple dedicated workspaces make the cabin a great option for longer stays or working remotely between adventures. Each room has individually adjustable heat, and ceiling and box fans are available for warmer days.

There's also plenty of storage throughout the cabin, including spacious bedroom closets and an attached garage. The garage is available for guest use and provides convenient covered parking, along with extra room for fishing gear, outdoor equipment and longer stays.
