Apartment in Munich
Reasons to book
About this apartment rental
This is more than a place to stay. The apartment has evolved organically through years of my life and artistic practice and is filled with original artworks, books, vintage furniture and objects with their own stories. Some works returned here after exhibitions and performances, others were created by or gifted by fellow artists. New works appear, others leave, and the space continues to change with my practice.
Under the name Eva’s Garden, my home has also become a private art salon, hosting carefully curated gatherings, readings, performances, artist conversations and photo shoots. The apartment has been used for editorial photography, and photographs created here with me have also been exhibited in Berlin.
From both the spacious living room and the second bedroom, you can look directly onto Marienplatz and Munich’s iconic New Town Hall. Watch the life of the square unfold below and see and hear the famous Glockenspiel from inside the apartment. The changing light, historic architecture and constant movement of Marienplatz become part of the experience of staying here.
The art, character and extraordinary setting also make the apartment a memorable backdrop for personal photos and videos.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The main bedroom has a 180 × 200 cm king-size bed for two guests.
The second private bedroom has a desk and a 120 × 195 cm sofa bed, comfortable for one guest and cosy for two. It also overlooks Marienplatz and the New Town Hall, making it an atmospheric room for both sleeping and working.
A fifth guest can sleep on the sofa in the living room. The apartment accommodates a maximum of five guests.
KITCHEN & AMENITIES
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and coffee machine, as well as everything you need for preparing meals at home. A washing machine and hairdryer are also available. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided.
LOCATION
Step outside and you are already in Munich’s historic Old Town. Viktualienmarkt is less than five minutes away across Marienplatz, while Frauenkirche, the Bavarian State Opera, the Residenz and Theatinerkirche are all within an easy walk. Odeonsplatz is around seven minutes on foot, and from there you can continue towards the Englischer Garten.
The surrounding pedestrian zone makes this an exceptional place to experience Munich without a car. Within roughly 15 minutes on foot you can reach almost everything: historic sights and culture, cafés and restaurants for every budget, everyday shopping, Maximilianstraße’s luxury boutiques and green spaces for a walk.
Marienplatz U-Bahn and S-Bahn station is just outside, making the rest of Munich, including Oktoberfest, easy to reach.
A PRIVATE HOME WITH CHARACTER
This is my private home rather than a conventional holiday apartment. It contains original art, vintage furniture, books and objects collected over many years, so I simply ask guests to treat the space with care.
The apartment is especially suited to couples, friends, families and small groups looking for something more personal than a standard hotel stay: a rare opportunity to experience Munich from inside an artist’s private world, directly in the historic heart of the city.
Enjoy Munich, stay out late and have fun — just keep the party outside. The apartment itself is not suitable for parties or after-parties, and only registered guests may stay in the apartment.
I personally welcome my guests at check-in and am happy to share recommendations for exhibitions, restaurants and places I love in Munich. After check-in, the apartment is privately yours, while I remain available by message if you need anything.
Some of the original artworks in the apartment are available for purchase. If something catches your eye, feel free to ask me about it.
