Il soggiorno perfetto

La houseboat è bellissima, con tutte le comodità. I proprietari molto gentili mettono a disposizione degli ospiti una serie di prodotti da utilizzare all’occorrenza (frutta e altri alimenti, accessori per il bagno ecc). La casa si trova in una zona molto carina e molto comoda per raggiungere i vari punti di interesse in città. Il soggiorno perfetto esiste!

Different style of accommodation with a fabulous host

We decided on a different style of accommodation for our stay in Amsterdam and we weren’t disappointed. Paul was an amazing host, including offering to pick us up from the train station on our arrival. He offered lots of information and ideas on sightseeing and nearby restaurants. The houseboat is quite small but perfectly functional. The bed was large and very comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary basket of goodies. The houseboat is located a little way out of the centre of Amsterdam but the tram is located near by and came every 10 mins or it was an easy 30 min walk. It was actually quite nice to be out of the centre which was extremely busy in July. My husband was very happy with the location, only 100m from the historic windmill brewery. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the ducks, swans and other boats go by.

You did get the occasional strong river smell but that’s to be expected when staying on a waterway.

Beautiful Floating Apartment with Exceptional Hosts

First of all, the houseboat itself was amazing. It is essentially a completely modern and beautiful floating apartment. The space is absolutely huge compared to our other accommodations on our trip and so it was really nice to be able to spread out a bit. The windows are floor to ceiling and it was really neat to have swans literally swimming up to the windows as we were hanging out. The location is also great as Brouwerij 't IJ is a fantastic brewery two minutes walk away at the end of the street. We were able to walk to the train station as well as many of the city's most popular attractions and felt completely safe the entire time. Secondly, the hosts were absolutely awesome. We (accidentally) arrived on King's Day and were a bit worried about checking in, but Paul (host) prioritized meeting us at the boat and warmly welcomed us. He gave us a tour of the apartment and even provided us with some local snacks as a welcome gift. He then proceeded to sit down with us with a map and show us points of interest as well as answer any questions we had regarding the city or activities we had planned. He even provided us with the train information we would need to get the airport the day before we left. Overall, this was one of the best places we have ever stayed because of both the apartment and the hosts and I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Amsterdam. We hope to return in the near future. Thanks Paul & Rob!

I only wish we could have stayed longer. We really don't have a single complaint or suggestion on how to improve. I hope they keep doing what they are doing.

beautiful stay in amsterdam (perfect for couples!)

this houseboat is really lovely and in a cool part of the city (only 30 mins or so to get to central). if you go when it's warm you can swim in the canal which we really enjoyed (you will also be visited regularly by ducks/geese etc - please see pic attached!) the space feels private, homely and comfortable but still near enough to some places to eat / hang out etc. (our favourite being Brouwerij 't IJ - a brewery in a windmill) Paul and Rob were such friendly and attentive hosts. we really appreciated the little details i.e. helping us with travel + providing some snacks on the side and a couple of drinks in the fridge. we will definitely be returning next time we're in Amsterdam!

Amazing. Loved every minute, will hopefully come back

Location was perfect for the relaxed holiday we were after. Paul and Rob are lovely men and hosts who answered all queries and went above and beyond for us.

Some continental breakfast options may be nice but little basket and bottle of wine more than did the job. Two twin beds pushed together instead of a double, made sleeping a bit difficult sometimes but nothing that couldn’t be fixed.

Wow, where to begin. booking this you will not be disappointed, the hosts have thought of everything. fantastic property, photos are lovely but seeing it in front of you is special. Easy transport links short walking distance, great cafes and shops local, and the brewery just at the end of the road the houseboat is banging. Will be looking to come back .. for sure 👊🇳🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌍

Nice and relaxing stay

Robs Houseboat was a very pleasure stay, handy and comfy! Paul has been supper helpful and gave us some great tips. We loved to see the ducks coming close to the terrace in the morning 😊

It would have been good having one mirror in the house aside of the little one in the bathroom and for the price per night, we missed that a shampoo and body wash were provided.

Superb

Perfect for a short City break. Good communication and a warm welcome from the owners. Lots of information provided.. The facilities are as described and everything you need is provided. Great to see the sun setting over the windmill in the evening and enjoy breakfast on the decking in the morning. A few minutes from many bus and tram stops but most attractions and Central station are walkable. There are good bars, cafes and a supermarket nearby.

A houseboat experience with some lovely local restaurants and cafés.

Good facilities at the house boat and a nice location. The added goodies and additional touches made our stay comfortable. Friendly hosts who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

The location is a good walk to certain tourist sites but there are trams which are cheap if you don’t fancy exploring on foot . The obvious mode of transport is the bicycle for a lot of tourists.

perfect weekend break away

the location was beautiful! we had amazing weather so made it a perfect place to wake up and have a coffee by the water in the morning! easy 25 min walk into the centre, trams and buses 2 min walk away! the whole place was lovely and was very looked after by the owners!

Exceptionally clean, beautiful houseboat with amazing hosts!

Rob and Paul were the most amazing hosts - the best we have had! We were arriving late and they left a wonderful grocery pack with drinks, breakfast foods and more! The houseboat was exceptionally clean and well appointed with a wonderful little terrace from which we could see a windmill (which turned out to be a local brewery...much to my husband's delight!) Several nice restaurants in the vicinity ... about a 35/40 minute walk to the centre of Amsterdam which we loved looking at all the houseboats along the way - but plenty of trams if you're not walkers. Would definitely return.
