Lovely room. Great location near the waterfront. Immaculately clean. Glass of wine on the terrace was a really welcome addition.

The property is quirky to say the least. It has an old world charm and is spotlessly clean. Sandy, the owner, goes out of his way to help you find things to do.
Lots of stairs. Check in is within a strict two hour window and is then mayhem as everyone turns up at once.

Cathy and Sandy have done a great job converting an old building to an inn. They are both very approachable, knowledgeable and very willing to help the travelers. There is a guest balcony and small garden, although we had rain during our stay so did not take advantage of it.
We had a disappointing stay, partly because of the weather and partly because we found Pictou itself to be quite lackluster (although we loved the ship Hector revitalization visit). Sandy and Cathy were very helpful and the room was ok, but of the six hotels/inns we stayed in during our 10 day visit, this was the most expensive.
