convenience to the Majestic Theatre across the street. Nice vibe.

very loud downtown road & traffic noise - definitely bring your ear plugs! One of the elevators was broken (we were NOT told) and did not let us out on our floor, which was one of the top floors. So I had the idea to go to the very top floor, and then just walk down a flight of stairs to our floor. Well, that did not work - all of the floors were locked (our key card didnt work) and we had to walk ALL the way down to the bottom. My husband brought this up when we checked out. Hotel management was supposed to call and discuss, presumably to apologize for the inconvenience, but never did. So the staff failing to communicate that (except for a hospitality person that was very sweet to let us know the situation) and the management failure to follow up, it was good. If you’re looking for the MOST convenient hotel to the Majestic, then this is your place, but the Drury 2 blocks away might have less road noise & more amenities. The bed and pillows were meh. I would not write home about them.

Comfortable, peaceful, and fun.

The building is beautiful and well kept. The bed was amazing. All the staff were very courteous. Great location. We loved everything.

Slow wait service at breakfast.

Characterful historic property in the heart of downtown San Antonio

Excellent location, comfortable bed, helpful staff, historic property, tasteful furnishings and decor, large room, easy check-in/check-out, holiday-themed decorations

Confusing restaurant (couldn't tell if it was open or not, and staff were hard to locate), thin towels, air conditioning struggled to keep up.

All was good. Room is big. Bathroom small. Beds ok…could use a better pillow top mattress.

Location is perfect. I love hotels in old buildings.

They did not offer a military discount for retired military. This is military city USA with lots of active duty and retirees wanting a few night out in the city. Too bad they are not recognized or appreciated.

Was over charged and room was smaller. But the bed was comfy so it was ok

Close by river walk. The murder mystery dinner was located in hotel.

We moved from one room because of noisy kids next door. And the room was way smaller for what I pd for. I also sent email to see if something could be put in room for hubbys bdsy. I was told yes but nothing was added.

Restaurant Bar

Great location.

Did not like the bracts that Booking.com did not inform the visitors to this hotel sight that their famous bar is closed Sundays thru Wednesdays. We booked to experience the "speak easy" atmosphere. Disappointing. Next time, I'll check out the hotel website to make sure all my amenities are available.

Last night with my grandson, & we enjoyed every minute. Had a great night’s sleep & hit the Alamo.

Loved the French fries! All the food ordered was exceptional. Haven’t had room service in years, but was too tired & hot to go out. Enjoyed the pool, too.

Location to Riverwalk was good and restaurants. The place was really clean

No microwave, no free breakfast even though when I booked on booking it said there was. The bathroom was really tiny.

It’s was a relaxing weekend stay.

The location in relation to the river walk and over night life activities is superb.

My only disappointment was the tub in my room was without hot water during my stay so I had to make due with just using cold water.

Had to be downgraded from a bright, large oversized king room (530) to a smaller, dingy double Queen room (1006)due to excessive air conditioning noise.
