Standard motel-like multistory with gym and pool, joggable to HEB and even Alamo

We were on a quick stopover tourist visit to SA and randomly chose the motel-style hotel but we found that we could easily walk to the river and into the heart of town - which we did on St. Patrick's Day (to our surprise) by the unique river and Alamo locations. So our location in an otherwise dreary commercial zone turned out OK as we could and did walk/jog into town. We also happened to find the national headquarters of the big Texas HEB supermarket chain, and the flagship store for our shopping. We really liked the breakfast served, by the way, pretty standard waffle machine and ham and eggs served, but fresh and hearty.

The neighborhood did not feel entirely safe after dark.

We were pleased with the location. Our walk to Riverwalk was through a nice hotel and commercial area, well lit.

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The good breakfast offered many options. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

No gravy for the good biscuits when we got to breakfast, but lots of other good options.

Superb

Great value, for the proximity to the River Walk. We had a beautiful large queen room. Rooms and hallways looked well kept, and the dining area was roomy. Breakfast was good! Staff was kind, courteous, and helpful.

Our bed spring was a bit "creaky". The view from our room was an electrical transformer. Also the top dresser drawer would not stay closed in rm 318 ( possibly needs releveled?)

Friendly staff

Upon entering the room. The carpet smells bad. Can’t sleep the first night. Requested for a spray to eliminate the odor but the smell still there. The hallway on the first floor smells good but not on the third floor. The room is. Clean though.

Poor

The room smelled musty...like the carpet had been absorbing moisture for years. The furniture was old and tattered. The breakfast room was too small for the number of guests and was did not have enough staff to manage it.

Deceptive pictures

Decent location downtown; large room

Filthy floor & stained mattress. Upon asking for a replacement, they said they were out. This led us to believe we were not the only ones who had an issue

Great stay have stayed before and of course will stay again.

Breakfast was great...would love to see oatmeal since its easy to make but lady hosting breakfast is amazing...props to her! I like the cleanliness of the room it was pretty awesome. The front desk clerk was very nice and courteous.

The parking is really tight and hard to get around and others dont park right. Price is alittle high but Then again very convenient to get everywhere.

Very good

Everything went well overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms size was a good size for our family. Accessing the hotel and heading out into San Antonio was also very easy.

The breakfast was good. But the area was small, for the number of people that were down there. This caused the people to be very close and noise level to be uncomfortable. This was especially noticeable, when other guests had their phones at full volume while watching videos.

Big room. Friendly staff. Indoor pool and spa great in cold winter! Lots of parking.

Breakfast was so bad. It was in the smallest area. The line for waffles was so long and in a terrible location. It stopped everyone from accessing the other breakfast items. They didn't top some things up e.g. biscuits, oatmeal, potatoes. They watered down orange juice. There weren't enough seats/tables for amount of people staying in hotel. I recommend going down for dinner at 6.30am- so quiet.

Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal with toppings to choose from, toast, muffins, waffles, 3 types of cereal, yogurts, hot chocolate, coffee, apple juice and orange juice. Staff was very friendly and there was always complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Breakfast staff was always ready to help and super friendly

I enjoyed my experience here but would have enjoyed more lights in the room. It was a bit dim

facility was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely be booking here again in the future

i ordered room service and never got my order, they told me it would be within the hour when I was to receive my order, 2 hours later I still never received my order so I just cancelled it. I know not to order room service from here.

The cost was appropriate for the accommodations received.

All the staff was found to be friendly and helpful.

All the carpet really needs to be replaced-we found it to have a not nice smell-more so outside of the rooms. Also room keys need to be changed-we were told they were in the process of updating though.
