Nice and artsy rooms with good connections

Close to some local stores and subway lines (5 min. walking distance). Very friendly staff. Very charming building. 24h front desk. Equiped kitchen and fridge in the basement.

Noisy garage on the opposite side of the building.

Gut!

Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ich war in einem 4 Bett Zimmer, war ok, man hat Glück mit seinen Mitbewohnern oder nicht.

Mehr Haken für die Jacken und ablagemöglichkeiten für persönliche dinge/kleidung im zimmer.

A hidden gem :) the ambiance was top tier. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The room was spotless and bathroom was sparking clean. I felt very safe walking around by myself. Not to mention all the cool art everywhere. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Can’t think of a single thing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Bedroom wasn't as clean as expected (hairs and traces on the floor) You can hear the noise in the street, but there isn't much traffic so that's fine !

Fine if you don’t want to spend much, not a bad hostel but not a good one.

The price is very reasonable..

It is annoying that they charge extra to lock up your valuables. The hostel rules were not enforced or clearly explained to guests. Multiple people were eating in the room.

Superb

The decor is bright and noisy, good to brighten people's mood. Adam the staff is very friendly and helpful in storing my luggage and suggested the best route to go to Staton Island ferry. The rest areas and kitchen are spacious. Furniture need some upgrade.

The walk to and from the hostel is a bit scary, especially at night. Of course this is NYC,which is expected but still.... Also a bit far away from all the activities.

The desk clerk had a crap attitude from the minute Ii got there one of the worst experiences ever gotinto it with the nasty clerk these people they had me in a room with some crazy people

Spacious room, friendly staff, generally convenient place to stay

I stayed in a women's four room dorm, and the room was quite spacious. I was surprised it wasn't bunk beds. The bathroom was incredibly large and facilities seemed in good repair. There was a table and chairs in the room, and a standalone closet in addition to the lockers, so some nice conveniences. Public space on the first floor looked comfy and cozy. Close enough to a couple subway lines and some bus lines, plenty of nearby restaurants, a bodega right at the end of the block, so convenient for whatever.

There were a bunch of tiny bugs on the ceiling in the shower.

Disappointing

the staff was really nice

walls were really thin and the noises from the other guests were unbearable, especially late at night… if walls are this thin there should at least be a quiet time. Furthermore our room was situated in front of the smoking area and all the smoke was getting inside. Also, the wifi wasn’t great in our room, some times it worked well but most of the time it didn’t

fun for the money

i sure would not mind visiting fee for service spa time. kitchen needs towels and napkins as well as forks and spoons
