Not a redo

The bathroom and floors were dirty, there were old towels hanging behind the door and hair on the floor. I booked this location because it said it was clean, it was not. We decided it was too late to change hotels that first night, so we got a few cleaning supplies to get through the night. Then, on top of that, it was extremely noisy, it sits close to the road, and the sounds of loud trucks driving by all night was so bad that my kids couldn't sleep. If you are a light sleeper, be warned. There are also no extras such as hair dryers, so plan to bring yours. We decided not to stay the second night we had booked. I have never had to leave a hotel before due to any reason. When I called the desk to tell them we weren't staying the second night, he was more concerned with letting me know I wasn't getting a refund than asking about the issues that caused us to leave. I travel all the time, and this is my first bad review.

The remodel on room 104 was lacking...

Check-in was easy. The room was clean and looked it had been recently remodeled. The floors in room and the bathroom were done well. The sink in room was granite was a nice touch. It's a shame that the remodel did not extend to hanging a shower curtain in the tub and a towel rack next to the tub.

The morning after check-in I made the office aware that the tub had no shower curtain. He apologized for that and assured me that it would be taken care of. I was away from the room for a good portion of the day. I stopped back at the room on 2 different occasions but left afterwards. By the time I came back at 8:30 still no shower curtain. True, I should have been more proactive in making the staff fix the problem, but I took the guy at his word. I looked at the photos in the description and I had to laugh when I saw the tub with a shower curtain. In addition, the bed was a hard as a rock. The mattress was sitting on basically a steel base that made a loud noise when trying to turn to get comfortable in the bed. The microwave was on a shelf inside a valet cabinet. The display light was so bright it was like having a laser pointer pointing at me all night. Even covering it with a towel didn't help much. I might have been able to overlook these things had it not been for the fact that a simple trip to Dollar General to spend a few dollars to buy a shower curtain and hooks to hang it up with, and then either overlooking the issue or simply lying to me to make me go away. Next time I'll spend the extra $ and book somewhere else where I can get a more pleasurable experience.

Great Location, Great Management, Adequate Room.

The Owner was AMAZING but stretched very thin with running the front office, cleaning the rooms, etc. The location and price was great.

Great place to stay

It was restful and a scenery just to sit and watch ducks in the water.

They forgot washcloths and they need to make sure people with kids understand that some people go to bed early but 11pm isn't really early but they need to teach kids to be quite,no running or hollowing out on stairs.

Not pleased about leak in bathroom

Location was convenient

The bathroom ceiling had a water leak, anytime you had to use the restroom water would drip from the ceiling on to you and it kept the bathroom floor wet and my children fell and bumped their head

I do not recommend. Everyone was nice, but we got very little sleep due to the noisy people above us

Facilities were clean. The staff was nice. The hotel was close to attractions and pigeon forge. It was a cheap room and a place to sleep after dollywood.

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. There wasn’t a security lock on the door, just a regular door knob. It is very close to the road and the headlights from cars shine right in the window. The water had a terrible smell and after a 15 minute shower it was ice cold. There was no river. It was almost completely dried up. No chairs to sit in outside. We were on the bottom floor and the people above us were throwing a party or something. We could hear everything they said. The room reeked of weed and cigarettes. They continuously moved the chairs around and we could hear them sliding. This happened from 9pm to 3am. We chose a cheap hotel because we were only there for Dollywood for one day. We just wanted somewhere to sleep and we was only able to get about 3 hours of sleep before our 4 hours trip home. My 10 & 8 year old were miserable and wanted to leave. You get what you pay for and I wish I had chose a more expensive hotel. I never write reviews, but this is the worst hotel I have stayed in at pigeon forge. Do not recommend.

Nice, Quiet, Clean

The rooms were updated and mostly clean. The only thing that was needed was the floors needed swept and mopped alittle better. The young man who checked us in was very nice and accommodated us with another room when our tv was not working. He was quick on the check in and quick on switching our room.

It was at most, adequate for my one night stay.

The view from the back door was spectacular.

The had been painting and caulking. Paint drops on the floor and the floor was very dirty.

No hot water first night. One day no water for hours.no notification Curtains held closed by stick pins.falling down. Baby roaches in microwave and coffee pot. 2 towels 2 washcloths for 4 guests. Deadbolt on front door did not lock.

THE AREA WAS PRETTY.

One of the better cost friendly hotels in the area.

It was really comfortable and nice for a last minute stop on our trip back from New York.. It was quiet and the receptionist was extremely friendly and patient.. Beds were soft and comfortable and the room was very spacious.. Would go back and also would recommend..

There was a cup with some sort of brown liquid left underneath the dresser.. There was also a small spill left next to the bed..

HORRIBLE!

She checked us in about 15 minutes early. Within a hour had to ask for another room. In the first room : Ac/heat unit (room 125) was falling apart, missing knobs and wouldn't stay put together. Bathroom had large stain on ceiling and also had ducktape holding up a ceiling tile 😳 fridge wasn't working and we realized it wasn't working so moved it to plug it in and see if it worked and there was dead roaches and crumbs under/behind the fridge so obviously not cleaned well as well as a actual living roach ran out from under the fridge when it was moved, when we came back after walking across street for a quick bite the fridge still wouldn't work. When I asked for a new room and told her why she made the comment "that's why I don't check people in early" as if a 15 minute difference would have made the room any better. Then she had the nerve to ask "how much time do you plan on spending in the room?" As if just because I won't be in the room much I shouldn't have a working fridge or ac/heat unit or a clean room. Water pressure was poor, and the water didn't get hot. Also the outdoor patio areas lacked any cleaning attention or landscaping all together. The beds were also firm and hard and pillows looked as if they had just been refluffed and thrown back in the bed instead if washed.The river view outside however was nice but could have been nicer if the river was full (that I don't blame on the hotel) In the second room Back door to balcony was missing a lock, shades would not close completely, beds were a bit sunken in and lastly again crumbs and food around floor and on nightstand also evidence that room wasn't cleaned properly. Would not stay here again. For over a hundred dollars a night it isn't worth the headache. This place is more like a 50 buck a night place. Definitely not worth what we paid!
