The breakfast was good. I like the biscuit and gravy option. We really liked the location to the Iowa State Fair. Even though it wasn't real close, there were no problems with heavy traffic and so was actually quicker and less of a hazzle than much closer motels.
Rate was considerably higher on Sat. night than Sunday night. Maybe a lower cost if you are staying two consecutive nights. However the second night was very reasonable. Did need an extra bath towel for longer hair..

The location is right next to 65 highway, which is very convenient. Desk clerks were friendly and quite competent to help with anything needed. Room was spotless and plenty of towels. Paint, flooring and fixtures are new and kept clean. Parking was ample, safe and clean. Sleeping hours were quiet and courteous.
At about 7AM, someone tried to enter our room, both through the suite door and also through the hallway. We do not believe this was a hotel staff person, or anything the hotel could control - probably someone's kids... but it was disturbing to find both doors loosened except for security latches.

It was ok, like a lot of other hotels. All was good though.
Maybe some more fresh fruit. Also, the day we were there, the juice machine only had apple juice, the others didn’t work.
