Old style historic hotel but also had modern touches like WiFi and usb ports, plenty of lights and sockets and decent breakfast
They asked for room number when requested wine glasses from bar for room wine consumption . Outside eateries all closed early. There was a McDonalds however!

The property was in a great location within walking distance to everything in town

The feeling of being transported back to a gentile time. The architecture and fine dining feel of the dining room. The bed was beyond comfortable. The staff was very very friendly and informative. The hotel sits in the middle of town and you can walk in any direction to shops n restaurants.
Honestly, I couldnt find a thing to complain about.

Donna at the front desk was helpful in getting me the booking.com phone number which I couldn’t find online - when she did not have a reservation for me despite my having a confirmation of one.
I guess my expectations were too high because my husband thought it met expectations. I thought it might be old and charming but it honestly just felt old to me. I'm trying to give this 3 stars but don't see how to do that. It's defaulting to 5 stars.
