Staff was very kind & helpful , but we would never stay in that part of lodge again.

The room we stayed in was in serious need of updating !! Apparently ceiling had leaked at some point and Ceiling particles falling on to carpet , carpet stains , tub and shower curtain w mildew , stains all over draw drapes at patio door, terrible tv reception.

Bed bugs, enough said.

So I just want to say, our first night here was amazing. The location is great for the little town of Wellsboro, around plenty to do and eat. The room has a double entrance, one inside the hotel and then outside on a large shared balcony with outside steps. The inside pool and hot tub were awesome.

Unfortunately the next morning we found not one but two bed bugs, and we couldn’t run out fast enough. Also the staff did not seem very spry upon check in. They were even less concerned the next morning, nor did they seem surprised when we ran out of there like a bat out of hell. Still awaiting my full refund.

Overall it was a great spot to enjoy the town.

Located in town, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The balcony provided a nice place to sit and enjoy the evening air.

The rooms were a little dated.

Never again. Outdated old dirty bathrooms and other features that are poor!

Comfortable beds, Keurig and pods.

Ugly outdated bathroom; cracks around the shower wall, rusty shower curtain rod, stains on tub wall, stained soap holder, old cheap shower curtain and very old rusty dirty wall heater. Floors were dirty around edges and very old tile. Yuck. Balcony faced side of another building. Outdated electrical outlets and not enough of them. Lampshade was bent! No shower caps - you have to bring your own. Very small 3 oz. Body wash, shampoo/conditioner so bring your own. No reason for being dirty or not paying attention to these details. Staff is ok but could be more receptive verbally and smile.

We were in the annex building it was old and dingy we had a barking dog neighbor. I messaged the hotel that we had left a hat and never received a reply to the message

A great place to stay!

Penn's Lodge is close to everything and within walking distance of some great shops and restaurants. It's very near to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania.

The breakfast was adequate but could have been better.

It was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

I always love staying at the Penn Wells Lodge. The service is exceptional. Everyone working there is always pleasant and smiling. No complaints whatsoever. We stay in the suites which are still pretty new and have tall ceilings (not typical for hotels). It feels spacious and comfortable for our family. Location is very central with a grocery store and a Dunkin Donuts across the street.

All in all, this was a fine choice!

The breakfast was definitely better than most included ones. Tea and coffee were high quality. Eggs were served daily, along with many other choices. The breakfast cooks and servers were very attentive to our needs. The wifi was quicker than at most budget stays. The location was very walkable to all sorts of dining, and a movie/live-venue theater was only about two blocks away. Within a short drive were outstanding outdoor options such as a wonderful bike path through the Pine Creek Canyon, a climbable fire tower (bring credit card for $8 total charge), and two state parks by the canyon's rim.

The shower's water temperature was a bit tricky to modulate, but could be accomplished with a little practice. The bathroom window was great for fresh air, but did not have an opaque shade to go with it. There was a refrigerator, but no microwave within the budget room (which was very fairly priced). Although free parking was said to be included, after reservations were made, the confirmation sheet said "when available." This was no problem except for crowded times of the week when the parking lot filled up fairly quickly. At that point, it might be tough to get a spot near your room, but perhaps possible to get one farther away.

We love this location and travel back every year. The town is so charming and the hotel makes us feel at home.

The kids would love to see waffles for breakfast or more that they could eat.

They had no elevator to the second floor and the free breakfast was not able to keep up with the demand even ran out of coffee not much selection . For the price I would have expected better. Other hotels in the area were less expensive. Would not recommend to friends.

everything was perfect and we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more!

We had a leak in the bathroom sink and we were moved across the hall. Our room was an upgrade much to our delight.

Staff was wonderful as always. Front desk very friendly and accommodating. Lodge was clean and inviting.

Same thing served everyday for breakfast. Light in bathroom didn't work also.

Enjoyed my stay and breakfast in this beautiful town in the mountains!

Breakfast was superb! Great cook and variety of choice was great!

Lighting in room was dim for reading and firmer bed is my best for me but no complaints.
