Chose it for its access to an indoor pool and its town locality. Pool was clean and well set up , staff were very friendly and close to all town amenities was great. Hotel bar and restaurant was not too expensive and good selection of food.
Maybe some added toiletries - soap/shampoos may have helped for 2 guests.

Extremely loud air conditioner
Some bizarre renovations, bathroom door doesn't close it's just a rolling door. The light switch is outside the bathroom and is blocked by the door when it's open. Shower also doesn't have a door, a half wall getting water on the floor.

The hotel was very clean and in a good location. There is nothing fancy about it, but it was just fine for our needs, and a good value. We'd stay there again if traveling through the area. Altona is a lovely little town with friendly people .
Providing breakfast would be a huge plus. The hallway was a little musty and hot, but air conditioning worked well in the room. The main door to the second bulding where our room was could have been marked a little better, and perhaps been more welcoming, but that's a minor concern and an easy fix.
