About this house rental
Situated in Sóller, this lovely house for $539 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Superbly located and stylishly decorated, this 200 year old house is just 6 minutes' walk from the main square, yet it offers the peace and tranquility of a house in the country, with superb, uninterrupted views of the Tramuntana mountains. The pool, terrace with a BBQ and the garden filled with orange and lemon trees catch the sunshine all day. There are three bedrooms, all with air-conditioning, two bathrooms with an additional shower and WC, a well equipped kitchen, spacious dining room and three seating areas. Free wifi is included. Please note, the maximum occupancy is four people. The house is a 200 year old Mallorquin house, and is built on many levels. Like all such houses, there is a steep staircase, and for this reason, as well as the furnishings, many steps and the swimming pool, we do not accept bookings when there are children under the age of 8 in the party. We like children and have two of our own but we just don't want sticky fingers or crayons on the walls in our house! We've made exceptions before, and regretted it, so we are being stricter now. Car Hire: The house has a dedicated parking space but the access road is very narrow and for this reason we recommend that you hire a small car, such as a Golf. But if you want or need a bigger car, you can park it on the road up to the cemetery, or in the cemetery car park, which is a four minute walk from the house.

Cas Panares surpassed all our expectations, the house is homely and has everything you could need, plenty of comfortable indoor seating and two dining areas one inside and one outside. The beds were very comfortable. The views from the house and gardens are stunning, surrounded by mountains and it's so peaceful. The pool is a good size and there are plenty of sun loungers and seating plus two large umbrellas for shade. Soller is a fabulous town, full of local tradition, we were lucky to visit during the festival of St Bartholomew so there was a lot going on. The tram, train and buses are regular and we had days out in Palma, the port and Fornalutx, plus a wonderful day out on a boat that we hired just for the family.
We never go back to the same place twice but we will definitely return to Soller and would love to stay in this beautiful villa again.

Lovely, charming and romantic. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Cas Panares. Super quiet location nestled against the Tramontana mountains but within a 5 min walk to the city center. Perfectly manicured grounds with lemon & orange trees. The pool was fabulous. Beautifully decorated and generously equipped. Will be back sometime!

Property is spacious and well equipped, pool area is clean and well maintained. Communication with owner was excellent and accommodating, we enjoyed our stay very much. The location in Soller is a little challenging with the road system, but worth the effort. Soller itself is charming but very much a day trip destination so busy.

An absolutely fantastic week in this stunning villa, set amongst some breathtaking scenery.
This is a wonderful home, very spacious (we didn't even use all the rooms), with a particularly good kitchen to make cooking 'at home' as special as eating out. And the pool is fantastic too, and a wonderful way to soak up the views throughout the day.
It's a perfect base for walking into Soller town for groceries, meals and coffees - and the nearby trams, trains and buses make Port de Soller and Palma extremely accessible without needing a car. We hope to be back again soon!

This property is perfect. We did not want to leave. The host was helpful with all of the queries we had before and during the stay. Fell in love with Soller. The town centre is beautiful and we found volts of places to eat. We would love to come back. The view from the pool is stunning!

The villa was lovely, full of quirky features, stylishly furnished and full of character. The pool was a good size and much needed as it was very hot. However, itt would have been good to have more shaded areas or parasols to enjoy the outside spaces.

Beautiful 200 year old house with air conditioning in the bedrooms, a 10 meter long freshwater pool, a beautiful lemon tree garden, and a fantastic view on the tramuntana mountain range. For parking, you do need a small car - we had a VW T-Cross and barely made it through the corner. Also driving through Soller is a little bit of an adventure at first. For the beach experience, take a 10 min drive to Port de Soller, we always found a parking spot at parking Lepanto. For groceries, Agromarket in Soller is the best choice by a wide margin.

The house is great, as well as the outside area! Unfortunately there were constructions at the neighbors house, so it wasn't as quiet as we hoped. But apart from that we loved our stay!!

The most wonderful home from home
As soon as you reach the gates of Can Panares, you know how special a trip it will be. The garden path lined with lemon trees and scented night jasmine leads you to the most beautiful, sympathetically restored house that really is a home from home.
Everything you could possibly want has been thought of: a well stocked kitchen (with sharp knives - a rarity in so many rentals!) comfy beds with brilliant air con, a wonderful, shady terrace for dining and a great pool area with sofas for sundowners.
The house is tucked away a few streets away from the centre of Soller, only a 5-8 minute walk to town and the brilliant restaurants and shops of the town and the tram into Port De Soller. It sits at the bottom of the Tramuntana mountain range which was great for little hikes and the views that will take your breath away.
David was a brilliant host, recommending a fantastic taxi driver, who met us at the airport and stopped at the supermarket on the way. He also recommended Mezzo Magic for an unforgettable day out on a sailing yacht - which was simply stunning and took us to parts of the island where we could snorkel and swim in caves.
Our only regret is spending just 5 days here - we wish it could have been 5 weeks!
The house is really special and we cannot wait to come back - thank you David for creating such a magical home.

We very much enjoyed our recent stay in the cozy "Cas Panares" surrounded by lovely lemon trees and the beautiful mountains. Situated just 10 mins by car from Port de Sollér and about 10 mins of walk from the square in Sollér, "Cas Panares" made our holiday perfect. Flawless and polite communication, highly recommendable.

A week in paradise.
We found the villa met all our expectations and was even more beautiful in reality. The kitchen was very well equipped, the rooms comfortable and decor authentic. The garden had a variety of sitting areas and the swimming pool was magic and spotless.
We loved the proximity to the town centre and the many restaurants to choice from.
This was one of the best holiday experiences I’ve ever had.

This beautiful old house has everything for a relaxing, sunny holiday. The owners have thought of all the things you would need, the neighbours are kind, the shops are close by, public transport is very easy, although it is so perfect at the house, we barely left the pool and the amazing mountain views.

Had a great stay at David's house, we had the pleasure of meeting him on our arrival receiving a lovely glass of homemade lemonade - much appreciated, thank you David. The house is in a lovely quiet picturesque area and is truly unique and special. For the bedrooms you go up to the top of the stairs and one step to the left is the double bedroom with ensuite, 2 steps up to the right is the master and twin bedroom with a large shared shower room, all rooms are large with good storage. When we were there it was on average 35 degrees and the air conditioning was very effective and quiet, we honestly slept better there than we do at home ! The basement (which is easily accessed from inside) has another fridge and a separate freezer, shower room, washing machine & tumble dryer.
The outdoor space is fab, a large 6 seater dining table for meals in the shade and the pool is super clean, in the sun all day and a good size for 2 lilos, Local restaurants excellent our favs were Salvia, Luna 36, Ca'n Llimona and Ca'n Pintxo (really different Tapas here). We had a wonderful holiday and can't wait to return.

Excellent accommodation in a lovely quite setting
Excellent accommodation as per description. It is situated in a lovely setting with beautiful views to the mountains but not far from the main Square and shops - sitting on the terrace in the evenings as the sun was setting was just perfect - it is also very sheltered from the occasionally winds. The swimming pool was great especially after a day's walking in the mountains and is kept very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking a few meals at the house. We had some meals out and went a couple of times (need to book well in advance) to the Hotel Salvia which is 5 mins away - the food is always good here and some of the best in Mallorca!

Traditional property, very comfortable, well equipped, nice pool, and lovely garden full of lemon trees. Quiet, but not secluded - the walk into town is easy. We found it ideal for a break in early May.

Another happy week at this beautiful property. The location is superb, nestled at the top of the town and below the mountains, lemon and orange groves in every direction.
We were lucky with the sunny weather and enjoyed the walking and local markets.

Amazing villa, perfect location.
The villa was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The views are beautiful. Having 2 different outside spaces worked well as a family of 4 adults and one baby.
The location, just on the outskirts of the town, was ideal and very quiet.
Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day.

Wonderful stay
We had a really lovely holiday , the house is ideally situated, not far from the old town square, but far enough for peace and quite , this is a very elegant house , tastefully done, and with everything you could possibly need , we like to eat out but we had breakfast every day in the courtyard and a nice glass of wine in the evening before venturing into soller , with its great selection of places to sit eat and people watch , the house is just around the corner from salvia, a great restaurant, we had no problem here at cas panares..the beds were comfy, everything worked well , we didn't actually sit inside much because the areas outside and around the pool were so inviting, and the whole garden gas beautiful plants and lemon and orange trees ..just perfect for us gin and tonic people , I have travelled well and stayed in some great places, and this house and soller is a real treasure, I would have no qualms recommending it to anyone x ..thank you David for letting us enjoy your lovely home

Superb location characterful villa 5 mins walk from the square in Soller.
We stayed here last year and had such a great time that we decided to return again for a week this May. It is a lovely characterful house with a big garden full of lemon trees. It is close to the town centre but at the same time enjoys privacy. Parking for a small car. Lovely patio area with barbecue. Hopefully we wi return next year.

Lovely house - great location
The house was perfect for our family of four adults for a few days of rest and relaxation between Christmas and New Year. Full of character and thoughtfully furnished. We were very lucky with the weather, so were able to make the most of the sunny garden as well as the various cozy sitting areas in the evenings. Being such a short walk away from the town centre was wonderful, so we could mix eating in and eating out whenever we wanted without needing to use the car. The kitchen is so well equipped that it really felt like home.
We really appreciated all the homely touches in the house and the quirky mix of art/sculpture. All the rooms were so much bigger than they appear in the photos, particularly because of the high ceilings. We were concerned that the house might be cold and draughty in winter, but the radiators kept it lovely and warm - although the boiler (oil fired?) was rather smelly. We never needed to use the wood-burner although wood and lighters were supplied.
The only downside was the water pressure in the bathrooms. It was great to have three shower rooms for three bedrooms, but we had to have a rota to have showers, as only one could shower at once without taking water from the other. Fine when there were only four of us and family - but would have been more annoying with more people and/or people who know each other less well. If money needs to be spent anywhere in this house, the bathrooms need updating and power showers put in.
This was our third visit to Soller, and we absolutely love the whole area: the town, the wonderful walks, the port, and the climate! We will definitely be back, and Cas Panares may well be our new best-kept secret!

The area is extremely peaceful and ideal for relaxing. The owners have thoughtfully provided all you would need to fully self cater for six people.

Beautiful private property on the outskirts of town but only a ten minute walk from the square. Very tastefully furnished. Good sized well maintained garden with a sheltered patio and barbecue area. We have stayed in Soller six times now and this has to be our favourite property to date.

We loved the house at first glance! David´s house has a warm, individual and charming atmospehere - very different from other "holiday houses" in Ikea style. The place has truly ist own character and we liked it a lot. You have a lot of sun and an amazing view at the mountains. The place is very quiet and peaceful but you need only a 6-7 min. walk to reach the centre of Soller with a lot of nice bars and restaurants. For us is was a perfect place to start our daily hiking tours and get back in the evening to have some great Spanish food in one of those great restaurants.
We found the beds very comfortable. The internet worked perfectly and we even watched German TV. There is a really nice BBQ which we didn´t use and Ieven though we didn´t cook I found the kitchen well equiped. And when we had some questions in the beginning it was really nice to talk to David or Daniela who were always really helpful. We can highly recommend that place - it was a 100% match for us! Thanks a lot!

We were a party of 6 adults(between ages 28-68) who all enjoyed our week's break at Cas Panares - none of us wanted to leave!
The property is exactly as described - of great rustic charm and character in a beautiful and peaceful setting yet within an easy short walk of lovely Soller. The house is homely, well equipped and functional providing space for both communal living and privacy when you need some 'me' time. (Both house and garden are on different levels with a steep staircase so would be challenging for anyone less physically able.)
The garden area is spacious and well maintained with plenty of seating to maximise both sun and shade, a terrace area with a traditional BBQ for dining out and a freshwater pool at a perfect depth for aquarobics (children would need to be competent swimmers).Lemon trees are in abundance and so we enjoyed great home made lemonade!
The booking process was efficient as was provision of information re the property and travel directions prior to our arrival. Our one issue during our stay was dealt with efficiently and promptly by the management team.
Pre arrival advice regarding hiring a small car such as a Polo should be heeded as the streets of Soller and mountain roads are challenging. Personally I was also happier to use the cemetry car park and walk a couple of mins. to the property as the last road is tight indeed!
Cas Panares is ideal for getting away from it all..a great place to just sit and stare...but it is also a great base to explore the area. Soller offers a lovely square with a very relaxed atmosphere to watch the world go by/ tram pass through whilst having a coffee/beer/dining out as well as interesting streets to amble through with plenty of shopping. The Saturday market is worth a visit too.
Nearby Deia and Valdemossa are worth a visit and if you get a blue sky day the views are breath taking.
The area offers great cycliing and our group enjoyed taking on Puig Major, Coll de Soller and Sa Colobra whilst I took a more gentle approach to life and visited Port de Soller on the lovely old tram and Palma on the historic train.
Visiting in early April early mornings and evenings were cool but the days were blue skies, warm and fresh....and no problem with mossies or bugs of any kind! The pool was chilly but accessible as was the sea!
The property has wi fi but I personally didnt access the news for a week and truly enjoyed an escape from it all at lovely Cas Panares!

We had a week in early February to escape the dreary English winter. The other reviews say it all; particularly the one that says it has everything you need and no more. Uncluttered but what is there is beautiful. Massive comfy bed, lovely places to sit (inside and out) as the sun moves around the house. We chose a bad time for Sóller in that very few restaurants were open (but recommend Ca'n Pintxo) but the market (fish vegetables herbs etc), Saturday outdoor market (cheese) and supermarkets, meant we could cook great food. And a perfect time of year for oranges and lemons of which the garden was full. Lovely OJ, lemonade, lemons with chicken, or indeed for G&T! The kitchen is simple but perfectly well-equipped and has what very few rental properties have - a sharp knife! Weather was like English spring-time with lots of opportunities to sit outside for coffees and lunch. Lovely walks - Biniaraix and Fornalutz and at the Port, and great walking guides and maps in the house.
