A good apartment but needs improvement

Location is good and the apartment is spacious. All the basic amenities were there.

Appliances were very old and needs to be replaced. The floor makes noise when walk. The bathroom shower needs to be fixed; a good shower is required. The bed frames are too big. It would be good to have beds without bed frames, just only a bed head. Needs more cups, wine glasses etc. There was only one wine glass. They charge cleaning fees and security deposit. None of the other apartments we stayed didn't have these.

Very chic French living.

The location of this apartment is utterly amazing. The living space is so chic and full of light. We felt like real French locals!

Two minor gripes... the floorboards are so loud and creaky... the showerhead is hand-held, which is a bit annoying.

Great location,

The apartment is beautiful, spacious and in an awesome location. Perfect for a small family.

We were unable to check in until 1600, and the host was late to hand over keys. We were charged a compulsory 49 euro cleaning fee even though the standard of cleaning was poor. The apartment is so great that this did not ruin our stay, the quality of cleaning should probably reviewed for this price. The kitchen was only partially equipped, no sharp knives available and four a four night stay the consumables ie toilet paper, dishwasher tablets etc were minimal (2 tablets for a 4 night stay despite being required to clean the dishes prior to departure despite the 49 euro cleaning fee). The two bedroom apartment only had one pedestal fan for us to use which was unfortunate as it was quite hot when visited. The iron needs replacing.

Great location, spacious apartment.

Overcomplicated check-in, had to register on another site and fill the forms there and read and translate exsessive regulation rules in French. No holder for the shower head on the wall.

Fabulous apartment, amazing location

Amazing location, minutes walk from the main areas. Spacious apartment, beautifully decorated with everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Check-in was very easy.

The stone spiral staircase up to the apartment is a fabulous feature, but as there's no handrail, my husband found it difficult as he has a mobility issue. My daughter and I loved it though!

A great location let down by the smaller details.

The property is in an excellent location, right in the heart of historic Bordeaux, and there are some great bakeries and places to eat nearby. The cathedral is just a short walk away. The wifi in the apartment was also really strong. Bordeaux is a wonderful city to visit.

There were three things that really could have been improved to make this an excellent stay. The first issue we experienced was with check-in. When we booked we were informed that we would have to pay an additional 49 euros for cleaning and towels on arrival (which was fine with us) plus a security deposit/card hold (also fine). However, when we landed in Bordeaux we received a WhatsApp message from Morgane (the agency person who would be giving us the keys) saying we hadn't paid for either and could we do so, with links provided. However, the links didn't work/weren't active/blue on my phone (you couldn't click/open them and we were on public transport heading into the city centre). I asked if Morgane could help me do it when we arrived at the apartment and her response was "You have just to click on the link and write the card. I am sorry but I have a big day today". My partner managed to copy and paste the links / make payment in the end before we arrived, but if it had been my older parents I think they would have really struggled and I found the response a little rude. Morgane met us and let us inside then quickly left. The second issue we encountered was a lack of adequate cleaning. My mother had placed some of her clothing on the shelf in the bedroom wardrobe before realising how dusty it was. The inside clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time (perhaps we were the first guests to stay in a while? I don't know). Similarly, a number of the glasses in the kitchen were marked / had residue on them and were not properly cleaned. We cleaned them ourselves. The third issue for us was the dining table seating in the living room. Two of the four seats were very wobbly and seemed unstable. We placed them aside as we did not want to break them and used two of the metal seats from the kitchen instead.

This apartment has an excellent location, is quiet and clean, and is excellent value.

Large, roomy, very clean, nice kitchen and very good bathroom and shower. Comfortable and Quiet. Perfect location, close to city center and tourist office.

We did not dislike anything about the apartment .

Great apartment and location but a shame about the booking process and after service.

Great location and spacious apartment.

The boiler broke so there was no hot water of heating on the last day and even though they were informed, the owners did not have the courtesy to respond. the booking went through a third party site called Swikly which was very officious and confusing.

Spectacular find in the heart of the city

The location was fantastic. Within the first couple of days it became clear that we could walk pretty much anywhere in less than 15 min- saved money on trams! Loved the decor and the layout. The street was central but there wasn't much foot traffic so it was mostly quiet. Also- as temperatures were rising during our stay, Guillame phoned to say he would come over and install 2 new fans!! This was excellent customer service 👏

The windows were single glazed (part of the old building charm) so when someone was in the street or even in the building opposite, it was quite loud. The bins are emptied at night as well so if you're in bed early that can be an issue- all in all though not much to complain about!

Nice stay but wouldn’t stay again.

it was spacious and centrally located.

Poor quality glasses, no oven glove and no cleaning cloths. There was no kitchen towel or scissors. I particularly disliked the fact that the shower head was not fixed.

Perfect base to discover Bordeaux

Great apartment in a central location and walking distance to everything but still quiet and calm. The place was very modern and spacious for four of us. we loved having a kitchen and large airy living area. we’re about a block and a half from a large Monoprix shopping center. this place is ideal for a family or two couples.

Nice, clean and spacious apartment in the heart of Bordeaux. Just around the corner is a great breakfast spot. And within walking distance, there are many cosy cafes and restaurants, popular shopping streets and tourist attractions.

There is very good audibility and acoustics in the building, so you have to be ready that you will know what your neighbours are doing. But, it's worth noting, while we were there, none of them made noise at night. The apartment is located on a quiet street, but after midnight rarely passing people or cars create an echo. If you are a light sleeper, it can be a little uncomfortable, as well as a street light that shines directly through the window of one of the bedrooms.

The location was great. Cécile responded very quickly to our needs and questions when checking in. The living room was spacious and decorated nicely.

There was no air conditioning. We kept the shutters closed all day, but it was still very hot at night when trying to sleep. The shower head was handheld and not the most ideal for taking a pleasant shower. There were no curtains on the windows in the front bedroom facing the street. The street lights made the room very bright making it hard to sleep. The floors in the hallway, especially near the back bedroom, we’re very squeaky. It woke everyone up at night any time you needed to get up to use the bathroom.
