Our stay at Cambalala was wonderful. We were very well looked after throughout our stay. Although the houses are a little dated, they are extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable. I had read a few reviews mentioning bugs, but honestly, I only saw two ants inside the house — and we were staying right in the middle of nature!

Beautiful location.
The pillows were quite thick and hard and the water didn’t flow too well in the bathroom basins, other than that, it was a wonderful place.

The resort itself is beautiful and there is a lot to do, which makes it a great destination for a holiday with family. The surroundings and facilities are really enjoyable.
However, our experience was disappointing. We stayed for 5 nights but only had electricity for 2 nights. For the other 3 nights there was no power, which made the stay very uncomfortable, no AC (with the heat), no lights, and we couldn’t charge our phones for flash lights. Unfortunately, my grandmother even fell. The emergency lights in the unit were not working, and when we asked reception for a portable light they told us they didn’t have enough and suggested we buy one ourselves. The first night the power went out around 3 AM and no one answered our calls for explanation, so we had to drive to reception.
For a resort of this level, backup generators should always be available.
