Stayed as part of the last leg of our honeymoon, incredibly romantic and quiet spot, we had our rooftop balcony and you're facing the sunset over the sea, I can't stress enough how impressed we were with the view and location being build into the cliffside
We dealt with Gigi, very friendly and a nice man, I asked could we have flowers there when we arrived and they were gorgeous, we were very happy with them.
Gigi also supplied us with a comprehensive print out of the islands' history, places to see across Elba, places to eat and shop across Elba, with name, contact info, etc. Very handy particularly if you were staying longer than we were.
The local beach is a just down the hill and has a bar and restaurant for food/drink if you're looking for a quiet day without travel
Checkout very easy and hassle free.
The road up can be a little narrow, but I managed going up and down several times in a BMW X7 without any scratches.
Air conditioning unit struggled to work when we set it to the minimum 16°C the first night, but when we set it to 20°C it was working perfectly the rest of our time there and kept the accommodation nice and cool

De locatie. Direct aan zee waar je via de rotsen heerlijk kon snorkelen. De rust was ook een absolute pre.
De vele trappen, onderhoud niet up to date, ligstoelen gammel.
Kamer 23:
Jaren 80 inrichting wat aan vervanging toe is. Op de bank zaten chloorvlekken, kastjes hingen op half zeven, koelkast sloot niet goed, verouderde apparatuur, sfeerloze verlichting, eetkamerstoelen voor rugpijn en gammele douche.
Alles werkte wel.

The location at the end of the road along a precipitous cliff face and exceptionally narrow with both suv wing mirrors touching the side drive for over 300 metres at gradients of c.45degrees was worthy of the foothills of the Andes
Although with very focussed camera-aided guidance inside our hire car, this neither helped the initial arrival emotions, or the freedom to ‘jump in the car and explore’ what is undoubtedly a fabulous island with loads to experience, both in relation to wonderful beaches (400 metres but a hike) and Napoleonic history less than 10 km away -
We had no idea from the host’s description that this would be the case -and would advise guests to hire small cars and also work on their General fitness 👟😉to really appreciate what this exceptional location re offers
