It is a nice hotel but some small and inexpensive tweaks could really improve the quality of the stay that we were surpr

The interior design is very good and there are good facilities for children including helping to organise a babysitter. There are beautiful and delicious tomatoes everywhere.

It was very hard and frustrating to get some water. You had to buy expensive bottles the whole time and water wasn’t replaced by your bed each evening and there wasn’t any by the pool. It is inclusive for children with a good child’s area (pool, trampoline etc) but the staff weren’t overly helpful with children (breakfast strictly doesn’t start until 8 and asking for a bottle to be cleaned etc was difficult). The price differential in room was not reflected in quality of room - we ended up paying 200+ for a room not significantly better than another basic room. They also had odd menu times - ie. the pizza oven was usually closed (never open before 4pm but then shut again a few hours later) so you couldn’t have a simple lunch.

a wonderful holiday, family friendly hotel but in a discreet Italian way

Beautiful and tasteful decor, friendly and incredibly helpful staff, wonderful setting, delicious Tuscan food.

The children’s pool is unheated (which were fully aware of before visiting) but with very young children this could be an issue especially at start of summer. Our nearly 3 year old was persuaded in!

Very nice location situated near the "Giardino dei tarocchi" in a quiet country side, just 15 minutes car from beaches. Rooms and public parts decorated with taste. 2 swimming pools, 1 tennis court, 1 padel pista and a jogging trail. Very good restaurant and people at the conciergerie very helpful. We will come back for sure !

Perfection

Everything was amazing. The staff and service was outstanding, the best we’ve received in a long time. The place itself is stunning, we did not want to leave! A fantastic breakfast on offer, and food and restaurant were brilliant. Overall 10/10, I was very sad to be leaving!

Blissful place to relax at

We were very happy to relax between the pool, restaurant and bar area for days. There are plenty of sun loungers and you can get fresh pool towels daily from the concierge. The breakfast selection was great, as was the pool side bar service and cocktails. We had dinner two evenings at the restaurant and would recommend going for the fresh fish (other main items on the menu weren’t as good).

Be careful driving on the gravel drives (we were told to turn around off the path to leave (contrary to the exit signs) and got a flat tyre shortly after.

The staff were incredible. Absolutely first class. Friendly, knowledgable, passionate and engaging. The food and wine is top notch.

a relaxing, luxury trip with an organic farmstay soul

I loved everything! it was a lovely vibe all round in all the areas. the breakfast was outstanding

it was expensive to take a taxi if you fell outside of the pick up hours, but that’s not really something that can be controlled

A great really restful experience, really helpful and professional staff, wonderful food and wine, great pools, beautiful olive plantations and buildings. A first class destination for a rest.

Only thing that was irritating was the repetitive piped music! Change it up please before our next stay!

The decor of the rooms and communal area, the outdoor spaces are very well thought and so comfortable. The staff is exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant, the food offer is really good and menu changes everyday. A truly wonderful stay.

Modern, hip hotel in the Maremma countryside

Lovely modern compound made up of separate buildings. Rooms all seem to have an outdoor space which we enjoyed. The location is very good for sightseeing in the southern Maremma and Monte Argentario. Restaurant is very good (bit pricey) as is the breakfast.

Not impressed with the fact that the hotel doesn't seem to be environmentally conscious. No option for choosing not to have linens changed every day. The hotel sits at a lower elevation so views aren't great. Bathroom sink design results in water everywhere.

Beautiful property, friendly staff, modern room interiors.

The restaurant and bar prices are ridiculous… not to talk about the extra costs for a breakfast egg. Really disturbing was the indoor-smoking at the bar and the breakfast area. To define a room as outdoors because the (closed) walls are out of glass is a bit weird. So the less than 10% smokers can disturb the 90% of the other guests.

I would definitely return!

Excellent personnel in the Locanda's restaurant. Very kind front desk staff. Exceptionally clean rooms. Lovely food and drinks at the restaurant and bar. Super breakfast.

Massages at SPA are subpar for a place this exclusive and expensive. Faucets in the sink in the rooms splatter water all over the place when you try to wash up.

Fantastic retreat in the Tuscan Hills close to the seaside

We have stayed there for a week. Just before arriving I had a bicycle accident. All the staff was very helpfull. Wonderful surroundings, a good restaurant and all the facilities one could want. Recommended!
