Amazing food, so close to the ski slppes it's not funny, onsen was sublime
The steps, no lifts...after skiing all day and an hour onsen walking up four flights of stairs is hard going!

Ski in / ski out so it doesn’t get any closer to the ski slope. There has obviously been an attempt to update the room and it looks nice, however the bathroom wasn’t done and is in desperate need of renovation and repairs. The projector onto the wall was fun, but can only be used at night. The tv is tiny. The onsen water was fantastic- slightly sulphuric and cloudy type.
Generally speaking all the sinks look filthy- someone needs some bleach and elbow grease to give them a good clean. The flooring in the public bath was rotten and feels unsafe. The stews and hotpot dinner dishes were very tasty, but the rest of the food was subpar from what you’d expect for the price (almost AUD$500/night)of the booking. Eg margarine instead of butter with bread rolls. Very limited breakfast selection. The carpark is very limited and you need awd/4wd to drive up the steep street.
