Nestled in Iowa, this lovely cabin for $139 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. 3 Bedroom Cabin With Full Bathroom And Full Kitchen Our unique bed and breakfast is a rental cabin that can sleep 7 comfortably. Even with its amazing location in the city, it still has the country view and feel. Enjoy complete privacy of your own cabin, while only being 1/2 mile from the main highway. It includes a full bathroom, full kitchen, Keurig coffee machine, 5 beds, deck/patio, cable TV, Smart TV, and free wifi. It is close to the Bridges of Madison County, and several wineries. If you wish to just come and get away for the weekend, the large deck and fire ring are yours to use while you visit. Breakfast foods are provided, so if you want to sleep in, you can fix breakfast when you're ready.

This was a perfect place to have a laidback girls weekend! The cabin was very clean, private, and quiet location to relax and unwind. Downtown Indianola had Halloween festivities to enjoy while we were there. Highly recommend the Corn Crib for a relaxing getaway!

We enjoyed our stay! We only had two main complaints: The microwave was quite dirty and the mattress on the full sized bed was VERY uncomfortable -- big dip in the middle so didn't sleep well. Just for your information also, Joe tried to get out of one of the plastic chairs and the arm gave out and he fell out of the chair. He set it by the barn with the yellow broken chair. Loved that the deer came out evenings to eat. Quiet evenings! Loved sitting out at the front entry and played Farkle each night and/or a fire a couple nights. It was just right for the two of us with our dog.

Had a great time staying at The Corn Crib! It was peaceful and relaxing. Located on the edge of town but you feel like you are out in the country. Very quaint place and Barb quickly responded to questions. Was a nice treat to have a few breakfast items available to use. Yummy homemade jam.

Easy peasy check-in process easy peasy communication with Barb as I couldn't figure out the DirecTV but then figured out I need to plug in a cord LOL anyway everything was awesome no issues at all I liked being able to have coffee every morning and even breakfast cereals that I did not use for breakfast but night time snacks ha! Overall one of the best I've stayed in in the last 10 years

I loved this place, maybe the best stay ever in a VRBO property. It was wonderful and private. My sister and mother are on a cross-country trip and did not have to worry about unpacking their vehicle. We opened the door to the property and any stress I had just melted away. The gardens were beautiful, there were bunnies and squirrels and a firepit and a barbecue (didn't use because of rain). I'm really considering gietting a gift certificate for my mother and sister when they go on their trip next year. Five stars PLUS!

We drove all the way from Florida for a family reunion and stayed at the Corn Crib. Barb was super sweet and very quick to respond if we needed anything or had any questions. Cute place. Definitely would stay again!

I picked this place because I wanted to “ get away “. This is perfect. It’s got a country feel, but is so close to so many area attractions. It was fantastic. Barb, our host was just awesome and friendly.

We had a fabulous time at the Corn Crib! Barb is a welcoming host, and you can really tell she put a lot of time and effort into making her place comfortable. Barb made sure there were breakfast options and snacks so no matter what time you arrive, if you dont want to go to the store, you have a little something to tide you over. Indianola was the pefect little town to walk around. We hit Pageturners for new books and had some delicious food at Crouse Cafe and Savor the Rise ( bakery/coffee shop), and enjoyed relaxing at the house after. We quite enjoyed meeting the pets, Bailey and Yoda, and chatting with Barb about The Packers/Vikings. She was always available, but not intrusive at all. We would stay here again, but longer next time as we didnt get to any bridges or any of the winery options. Our biggest issue was the Corn Crib mug was not for sale!

We loved everything about this cabin! The inside was clean, rustic, and had all the amenities you could need. The yard was beautiful and spacious, having that real country feel but only minutes from town. My dogs loved the space to roam around and we even saw some deer in the yard!

Property was just as it was described. It was very clean, cozy, and relaxing. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the deck and around the fire pit. The owner Barb, was friendly and helpful. We already booked it for next year when we come up for the Tulip Festival.

The Corn Crib was the perfect landing for our family and pups. The property is peaceful and beautiful at sunset. Barb was a great host and was very accommodating to our family. We enjoyed our stay so much we plan to invite some of our church friends to stay when they are in the area. We highly recommend this place and Barb - a lovely gem of a rental.

The Corn Crib is a comfortable, cozy place. It's located near some woodlands, where we saw some deer near dusk. It's also close enough to town to make an easy trip to restaurants or Simpson College. The listing was accurate and the property was pleasant, clean, and well maintained. There were light breakfast options provided, including coffee/tea/hot chocolate. There's an electric fireplace, which added to the coziness. The property owner even took the time to shovel around the property and around our car when it snowed during our stay. There is a large deck with a grill, and a fireplace with lounge chairs on the property, which would probably be fun in warmer months. We enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I celebrated our 35 anniversary with a staycation at Barb's Corn Crib. Everything was as described. Perfect. Barb recommended visiting the LA Vida Loca winery and we spent three and a half hours there. A great time if you're in the Des Moines area. Thank you Barb.

We stayed here months ago but my kids still talk about the awesome bunk bed. It had all we needed, was clean and charming. Will keep this place in mind for any other time we travel through. Barb was very nice and our dog was welcome which was appreciated as we traveled through.

We will definitely be back. Loved the cabin life in the fall… would be fun to stay in the winter. Very open area with a fire pit and walking trial. The Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. I almost talked my husband into staying another night as we just loved it. 🧡

We plan to stay here again! It was the perfect place for our family to stay near the location of our niece’s wedding. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to use the fire pit or just relax much, but definitely prefer this over a hotel. Having a few breakfast options in the fridge was much appreciated!!

What a charming place to stay for two couples that are exploring Iowa and the covered bridges of Madison County. We enjoyed our peaceful stay on this sight. Check in and check out were so easy. We had a sweet visit!

First time truly visiting and exploring the Des Moines area. Despite the extreme heat, our little family was able to return home with several fond memories, thanks in part to this cute property in Indianola. Barb was very friendly, and the landscape was pretty and peaceful. We made use of the spacious deck and cool interior. The cottage's architecture is unique and visually appealing. The Keurig is a nice touch as well. We spent a memorable day at the Hinterland Music Festival and had a great time at a couple of fantastic breweries in Des Moines (Lua and Big Grove). Highly recommended! We hope to back someday.

The Corn Crib is the best of both worlds! It’s a special hideaway away from town, yet it’s close to everything! Barb was a fantastic host. She let us get settled & then came & introduced herself. We ended up talking to her for 20+ minutes about her amazing property! We thoroughly enjoyed taking a stroll through the vegetable garden, and we were even greeted by the family cat. To our surprise, the fridge was fully stocked with breakfast items & homemade jams. The Corn Crib is truly a gem!
