About this house rental
a delightful new house in the Sicilian companion, immersed in a private olive grove with sea views and private parking. The interior is completely furnished, so the furnishings are new, including the bathroom and the kitchen. The kitchen is in masonry with an electric oven, a wood-burning oven for pizzas and a wood-burning stove.
The external façade has not yet been painted and there are no external finishes, such as the external paving, the paths between the olive trees, etc., but in any case the external space is completely accessible.
The beaches are just a few minutes (about 2 km and a half) and the center of Sciacca is 10 minutes away by car. The city of Agrigento with its temples is 60 km and half an hour by car are the archaeological sites of Segesta and Selinunte.

This is a beautiful, spacious house with many tasteful artistic details. Picture windows make the most of the spectacular views of the sea and countryside below you. We wondered if they would also make the house hot, but they didn't seem to, and the fly screens on all the smaller windows meant they could be opened to create a through draught.
The terrace is also lovely, providing both sunny and shaded areas at all times of day, amidst lovely flowering plants and the olive trees below.
The house has good, comfortable seating and is well equipped, with a good shower and bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable too.
Since the nearest shops are in Sciacca we found a good supermarket (Eurospin - which had fresh baked goods as well as everything else we needed) and did one big shop - a large fridge and substantial freezer in the house made this possible (although we struggled to find storage space for food that didn't need refrigerated!)
The kitchen would benefit from a few more chopping boards, sharp knives and different sizes of pans.
The access road is in poor condition which takes getting used to, and also unfortunately sometimes a group of dogs waits half way up it to chase your car, with risk of running them over. They also sometimes bark through the night which may affect sensitive sleepers.
Our favourite swimming beach turned out to be one nearby, just across the main road!
The owners were helpful and responded quickly to any queries.
We would happily stay here again.

Excellent quiet isolated house surrounded by olive groves and well away from the road. Wonderful panorama. We had a pleasant few days relaxing here while exploring by car the nearby beaches and ruins. The house is very spacious and tastefully done.

La casa di Paolo è un peccato lasciarla agli altri ospiti, perché avremmo voluto starci molto molto di più. Con la mia famiglia siamo stati bene, rilassati, in pace col vento, le cicale, le stelle, gli ulivi e il mare. Luogo di tempi davvero da vacanza, perché ogni angolo della casa ti aiuta a ritrovarti. Di solito non torniamo mai nello stesso posto pur trovandolo bellissimo perché un viaggio deve essere sempre diverso da un altro. Questa casa a due passi da Sciacca, da spiagge incantate, potrebbe fare eccezione. Sogno vero

We really enjoyed our stay in the nice house. The accomodation is super cozy and there is a lot of space to do whatever you want. :-) We found everything in the kitchen that we needed. I couldn't believe that you have such a gigantic view through the huge windows.
The owner and his family were really nice!
At the end we really wanted to stay longer...
